That's cool. Guessing they charge a Hundred Dollars for the HD plates. Would seem appropriate.

Am I the only one that thinks it's bizarre to say the least that state of Wisconsin working in conjunction with the Harley Davidson Motor Company has developed and is now offering a Harley Davidson license plate, Bar and Shield logo and all, that is; wait for it----- not available for motorcycles but only to be used on cars, trucks and motorhomes?

1st impression, yes agree but then again, would it be right for a honda vtx or yamaha star to be runnin around with bar and shield plates?
Think their thinking is that this gives the HD owners a chance to advertise that fact on their 4 wheeled vehicles as well.
AND gives HD fans a chance to show their preference as well.


Still, it is a little strange to not be able to put it on a Harley...

Seeing the Harley plate on a VTX or a Shadow doesn't seem any weirder to me than seeing it on a Smart, a Mini Cooper or a Ford Fiesta...  A lot of places the plate would look funny.  The one place it would not, on a motorcycle, is the only place you can't have it.  Oy vey.

Sure, I know, it's a safety program.  To remind everyone else to watch for motorcycles.  It's still dumb.

I was in India last week , you should see the new plate they have ITS A DOT HEAD on the bar @ shield  looks kool and will make a great moving target.....
