DESTROYER IN THE HOUSE
« on: January 27, 2006, 05:38:44 PM »

Just got back from Ray Price HD in Raleigh and lo and behold there is a swwet Destroyer sitting on the showroom floor with NO sold sign on it. Call and ask for Eric Williams at 919-832-2261. Tell him Rainman sent ya.
Happy hunting.....

As of last Sat, there were two in the Dallas area.  HD Dallas, in Garland, and Longhorn HD, in Grand Prairie.

San Deigo H-D has one on the floor. I believe one of the guys they sponsor on the NHRA , AHDRA circuits is gonna run it. Awesome lookin machine. The pipes are baaaaaaaadass  All I can think is what'd be like to pull up beside some kid on a crotch rocket with this thing. Come to think of it I dusted a bunch of em on my 05 SEVROD when I had it. This must be off the freakin charts. Eyeballs on the back of your skull acceleration.

JOCK the funny part about it is that once they arrive at the dealerdhip they change their minds and don't sell them. I was lucky when I got the SE Vrod I had one on order when it came in he actually asked me if he could keep it. I had no reason to want one after much thought. My original plan was to make it street legal.

Be safe

Seacoast Harley in North Hampton, NH had one on the floor a few weeks ago when I was in there for parts and I asked if it was for sale.  The sales guy said they weren't sure if they were selling it because they were becoming "collectors items".  He also said, "... if it were for sale, the Bidding starts at $50,000.00!"

I've looked at these a few times. I like the concept. The price for the speed is way off. A big sport bike for the same amount of money invested will make the V-Rod look like a toy. I still like it anyway. :) It just keeps coming back to cost per ET. ;)

This a purpose built drag racing bike only. It is built for the SE Vrod Destroyer Class At AHDRA. The bike does high 9's out of the box with a little "tweaking". It can not be modified for class racing. The idea is head-to-head with identical bikes. They're inspected at the track, like all drag bikes (cars) are, by the sanctioing body. If mods are found, you're disqualified. Dealers all over are getting into sponsoring or helping privateers get into racing with these bikes. The bike is set up specifically for the 1/4 mi. It is not designed or geared for the streets nor are the engines set up for all day riding. It's a 1/4 Drag Bike! It's turning into one of the most fun classes at the track. If you've never been to an AHDRA or NHRA race, I'd recommend it anyone into speed. There's almost nothing better than a good head's-up drag race! Hoist!

My son is turning 14 next week, and he wants one for his 16th birthday, so I've got 2 years to figure out how to fund one. He loves motorcycle drag racing, and would love to own one of these beauties. Our local dealer still has one on the floor, and he just drools over it. I'm sure he'll race someday, don't know if it'll be on one of these. Check him out www.jkyleperry.com

You can find those suckers everywhere, who would buy one of them? Cool to look at but man, you cant ride it!

If you want to drag race in the Destroyer class, you sure can ride them! If you're not a drag racer, it's definitely not waorth giving it a thought. ;) Hoist! 8)

You never know what to expect next!!!!! I actually had one on order. It has arrived at the dealer a while ago. I was not sure if I really wanted to get involved in the weekend warrior thing again. So for now my good friend that owns the dealership is going to keep it and leave it on display.

After we get everything settled we may take the plunge. I know she will have a blast on it.

I am really sorry I missed it also. If I got the Destroyer I have no idea what I would do with it now. It is still sitting at the Dealership. They did ask me if I wanted to take it for a spin around the parking lot.

Should'a said yes, took it up to Atco, and met us there yesterday. Had a buncha Destroyers racing, along with TF HD's! Because we ate breakfast, I missed out on putting Cybil in the show. We showed up near the end of ET qualifying. They didn't require safety equipment. Just a full face. I could'a borrowed one of them and raced. Damn! Oh well, I know for next year!!! Might wanna bring the Pro Stret down instead though!!! ::) ;D ;)
