Had another 45 minutes loose this afternoon.  So put the cam plate assembly together for the Road Glide.  If Saturday stays unoccupied will be the new top end back on it then.  Keeping fingers crossed nothing bites me in the ass.

I'm washing the Red Pepper this morning.  Then leading my club on a 200 mile ride through the hills of East TN and along the Ocoee river, going to be a cool but sunny day.

Riding with a group to the coast for seafood, about 250 round trip.  Temps in the 60s-70s.  After that it's happy hour back here at another riding buddie's home.

Riding over to Dr's visit this morning.  Then over to SMHD to have the 25K service done with 27K on the bike.  Also getting the new front rotors installed and the new speedometer.  This covid delayed my new rotor by 6K miles.  As they were ordered with 20,560 miles on the bike.  Sure will be nice to have good front rotors for about 7K miles.....

Got farther than this while messing around for a few hours last night.  Both sides off, both sides on, roller rockers installed in the supports, etc etc etc.  I just liked the side by side comparison.

Rode to the lake to catch up with some riding buddies.  Had not seen most of them since early March.  Good times, good friends, icy cold beverages, and good food.

Took a great ride with a couple of club brothers, 298 miles in the beauty of east TN and West NC.  We took the Cherohala Skyway from TN to NC, then got on 129 north to Deals Gap.  Had lunch, place was packed.  Then we took Moonshiner 28 towards Bryson city, and hoped on 19/74 through the Nantahala River gorger down to Mupphy and onto 64 along the Ocoee River, the 30 north to Reliance, really nice now that its been repaired.  Then 163 and Lamontville Road back to our start.  Started out in the 60's and was 79 when we finish.

I recently left Wilmington NC for Murphy for a little hill riding out that way....beautiful country!  The trip was a little over 480 miles (all back roads mostly through SC).  A day to relax and rest up after that 10 hour ride.  Spent a few days with my cuz and did some riding, spent some time at http://chevellerestaurants.com/ ....great local sports bar and then rode most of those roads and routes Dave mentioned.  Between some bad gas and the plethora of crotch rockets, I was definitely out of my element!!  Now might be the perfect time to head back that way for a few days and get re-acquainted with the area.

Pulled fairing to fix a speaker wire and tidy up in there. Also replaced that rubber trim running down between the fairings. Put my heel shifter back on.

Area does have great riding.  That is why I never ride the dragon on a Friday, Saturday, Sunday or Monday, to many crotch rockets.  Not much to see on it anyway, many of the other roads are much better.

Its a great area to ride.  Many very good roads in East TN, West N.C and North GA.  Lucky its my local rides for me.

Today will be leading a club ride with a Picnic lunch at Frozenhead State Park, then up the devils Triangle to Brushy Mountain Penitentiary for a tour, then we will continue on Devils Triangle.  Should be a nice day and fun ride.

Came up to the Smokies for a week of riding, weather was nice Sunday and most of yesterday but had to ride back to Pigeon Forge from Deals Gap in the rain and the rest of the week looks like a total washout. Ninth year of doing this trip and have always hit a little rain here and there but I have always expected that we were eventually going to have a week like this.

So far 2020 has been a horrible year (pandemic, losing loved ones, lost income, home repairs, and now this), trying to count my blessings and stay positive but I need a break from all the hits.  Praying for better days ahead.

Been messing with child #2 since I brought it home last Thursday. Have had the fairing off twice to fix minor things. I forgot how much fun putting this fairing back on but after cleaning up some wiring and getting it out of the way, I'm back down to 3-4 tries to get it hung on the hooks. I did get a chance to ride it to work last Saturday and then get a few miles on it with my brother after work. Title work is done but no plates yet. Sheriff said it's okay as long as I have my title receipt with me. BMV doesn't open back up until the 26th so I made my own plate.  Still needs some TLC but it'll be in top shape as time allows.
