A ride up to St. Elmo, Colorado

Babe and I rode up to St. Elmo today.  St. Elmo is a ghost town at the 10,000' elevation on Mt. Princeton.  Mt. Princeton is one of Colorado's famous 14ers.   The 14ers are mountains in Colorado that are all over 14,000' and we are spending the summer at the foot of several of the 14ers.

Looking at the plaque that's on every building in St. Elmo it appears they were all built by the miners back in 1881-1884.  They also had the St. Elmo-Buena Vista Stage running back then.  The original St. Elmo-Buena Vista Stage stables and office are still standing in Buena Vista.
