HELP! LOOKING FOR A SEEG2
« on: October 18, 2004, 05:24:56 PM »

Great site and thanks ahead of time. Im looking for a 05 seeg2 in the red here in calif. Is there an easy way to locate one instead of having to call every dealer? This looks like a wonderfull bike to plan my next summer alaska trip on.Thanks again- VAN G.

Welcome to the site. There are some really helpful people here with a spread of expertise.

I think Dallas is correct as there were some people highlighting dealers that still had CVOs unsold. That was then and I would urge you to get on the blower quickly tomorrow in order to secure yourself a bike for your trip.  [smiley=drink.gif]

VANAMAL, welcome!

In case you can't find one locally (may be tough), I think the best advice is 04hd103's that you can find in this link: http://flhrsei.org/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?board=mkt_buy;action=display;num=1097701517

It worked for him and I think this process is still sound today.

Vanamal - bet you a beer somebody on this site will find you a bike - just like they did for me! Might be a little tougher...do you have to purchase with CA emissions system?

You guys are great. unfortunatly to registar a bike in calif it has to have either 7500 mi or be calif emissions equiped. A dealer nearby was nice enough to fax me a list of all the seeg bikes unsold in the state. id love to ride with you jcz if the opportunity presents itself. what does everyone think of the YELLOW! man is that dude bright. a little history on myself for those who dont know me from the hd zone. im 51 yrs old ride a 02 fxstdi thats my fourth hd.  26000 miles in 2.5 years. im a full time contractor part time minister. i dont drink (anymore) -smoke or use drugs. i like big titties unless they are little. anyway i love to ride and see new places. i also do all my own wrenching and like to study the mechanics of the hd. i just installed a 95" kit,se heads, andrew cams w/gear drive feuling pump and lifters plus power commander. i do have all the JIMS tools to do the cam change so let me know and i will try to help those who may need it-thanks again and i cant wait to get a seeg - i want to be of some help to the site either in my mech knowledge or my knowledge of calif roads and sites to see. thanks again-im a lousy typist!

Van you did great on the typing! [smiley=laugh.gif]  Actively participating on the web site  is "helping out the web site".

I've been clean and sober for 18 years (next month) but don't have a problem with those that still do drink......as long as they're not riding when they're drinking.  And, just like anybody else, I don't like being around drunks.......hell, didn't like that when I was one. [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif]

We'll hook up sometime, you're in the age group (I'm 53).

I'd be O.K. with the yellow but some will not like it.  I think the yellow and the orange have to be the two safest motorcycles on the road. [smiley=7.gif]  If somebody hits you or pulls in front of you and says they didn't see you........they don't belong on the road.

Talked to the dealer the red and yellow are spoken for.  But he said the guy buying the red one has to sell 2 bike and they are still on the floor and the bike shipped Tuesday.  So he said there maybe a red one but would not say so till the guy backs out.

JC,

A word of warning - you should be careful hanging out with spritely young kids. They could live life too fast for your pace (with your accident 'n' all).  [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif] [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif] [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif] [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif] [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif]

For anyone interested, Fort Washington HD in suburban Maryland may have a red SEEG.  They called me today to tell me mine was in.  As my good luck would have it, I found one 2 weeks ago in NC at MSRP and jumped on it.  Fort Washington is asking 2K over MSRP.  Good luck!!
