Color Query
« on: August 26, 2004, 08:31:46 PM »

I have a problem, hoping CVO owners can help me with.

I have my name on a 2005 CVO E/G and have been informed by the dealer that I have a choice on color.

two tone Teal or the two tone Red.

Hey, Sniper, welcome to the site! [smiley=beerchug.gif]

Follow this link to some scans of the '05 SEEG sales literature I posted in the Electra Glide board: http://flhrsei.org/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?board=eg_gen;action=display;num=1093052367

The photos aren't the greatest, but the teal does have silver stripes and Harley-Davidson on the fuel tank, whereas the cherry red is gold as you described.  Hope that helps!

Sniper,

Just my 2 pennies worth.  I saw all 3 of the SEEG's in Sturgis. Yellow [smiley=vrolijk27.gif], Me I'd have to have someone give it to me to ride.

Red very striking, yet still with the added fiberglass to the lowers to accomidate the new air flow system it seems like a lot of red up front. [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

Now the teal I though was the best looking of the bunch [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif], but I'm kind of an earth tones guy anyway.  Go figure I ended up with the Purble '02 SERK and I love it! [smiley=bigok.gif]

Don't know if that's any help, probably just more fuel for the fire.

Anwya, welcome and like I said just my humble opinion!

I saw the teal bike at the dealer yesterday and it is one good looking bike.  It stood out from everything else on the showroom floor.  From the pictures I have liked the red the best of the 05 colors but I can not get that teal one out of my head!!

I have the two-tone Teal. Yes, the silver is sort of a silver leaf effect. I really like the way you can change the appearance of the bike so easily. tour pac and lowers, lowers and no pack, pack and no lowers or no lowers and no pack. When I saw the yellow on the web site I thought "Gold Wing"  Just not for me. Then it was teal or red. See lots of red colors but not many if any teal colors. So I went with teal and am VERY happy. Cant park it anywhere without people (Harley people and NORMAL people) asking questions and getting comments like "great colors "

GET THE ONE THAT FIRST STRUCK YOU.   I COUNTED THE DAYS TILL THE COLORS WERE ANNOUNCED ON JULY 15TH.   THE FIRST THAT THEY SHOWED  ON THE SITE WAS THE YELLOW  AND I IMMEDIATLY THOUGHT HOW UGLY.   WHEN I OPENED THE COLOR BOX
AND SAW THE THREE NEXT TO EACH OTHER ONE COLOR STRUCK ME.
I CALLED MY GIRL HAD HER GO TO HARLEYS WEB SITE AND LOOKED AT ALL 3 COLORS,
WE WERE ON THE PHONE AND SHE SAID IT'S A NO BRAINER.
THE RED.  THATS THE SAME ONE THAT STRUCK ME FIRST.

The teal one also appears to change color depending on intensity of sunlight...it only looks green in low light/clouds, otherwise looks dark bluish...it also looks much better in person than in pictures because of this effect...

Let my Teal one go, I think I've changed my mind from teal to the yellow although it won't be in till some time in march, and then only a maybe, the dealer may not even get one then.
