Skull-less Glides?
« on: December 03, 2012, 06:24:59 PM »

I know there's been much discussion about many not liking the skulls on the tanks and outer fairings of the Road Glide Custom SE's.

Just wondering if any owners of these great looking rides have taken matters into their own hands and changed out the badging?

What did you come up with to replace the badges (if anything)?

Did you add new badges?

Did you add a painted H-D logo script?

Did you add a Scremin' Eagle script, either painted or badge?

Possibly you just left it plain with nothing on the tank and/or outer fairing???

Would you like to share your photos with your changes?

I'm sure I'm not alone with my desire to see what everyone has done to make theirs unique.

Thanks in advance for sharing your pics.  :2vrolijk_21:

A friend and I once decided, after several adult beverages, that a Harley isn't truly authentic until it has at least one skull attached to it.  After that, I went out and bought a skull horn cover.  Not a good decision on my part...  :(

It's your bike, do whatever you want with it.  If you like it, nobody else's opinion matters.   :orange: :orange: :orange:

Mine are still on.. ten months and 11K later.

I have a screamin eagle badge in an oval shape I like.. but it doesnt quite fit the contour of the pinstripe on the outer fairing...

no pics.. I'm still at work

Here is the change to my wife's.  She didn't like the skulls either and we changed out the front one with the dash badge off my 09 FXDF-SE.  We took them of the tank as well.  I will also post a picture of that.

I love the skulls... Never cared for the "Eagle" or Flames personally but understand I am in the minority there.

Very nice LandShark.

Badge on the fairing works great in the space, and you left the tank clean which allows the lines to flow through the bike.

Great looking ride your wife has.   :2vrolijk_21:

I have never been into Skulls.  Almost did not trade my 09 Silver CVO RG for the skunk due to the skulls.  I loved the Eagle on the 09!

After I got the Skunk I planned on removing the skulls, but they grew on me before they got removed.  So I added a skull to the rear of the Chopped tour pack, and to the primary cover and to the timer cover.

Hey Dave, is there a part number for the skull badges..?  My dealer couldn't come up with one...
