What is the difference

Could somebody please explain ?

The only difference seems to be the "billet-tapered" .
 What does this mean ?

I like the slash endcaps as well, however, I'm not sure they can be used on the 2010 SESG?  The web cites they are designed for a 4 inch SE muffler but does not list the 64768-09/64769-09 mufflers on the 2010 FLHXSE as a possible fitment.  Why won't they work or will they?

The billet ones are more expensive as they should be machined and or cast from metal and then machined.  The cheaper ones are probably rolled and seam welded out of thin sheet material.

They wont work out of the box, the mounting system is different, HD made an adapter that will allow the SE touring End Caps either piston, Fishtail or slash down to fit on the OEM CVO Mufflers.
