Title: Chopped with wrap around
Post by: Yellow09SERG on March 26, 2017, 05:27:34 PM
Well finally gave in to the wife and pulled the backrest pad from the chopped and dug out the wrap around out that has been laying in a box for a couple years now and installed it for her. Probably the right thing to do as if the bike leaves the house her butt is generally on it too. Was kind of worried what it would look like but honestly can't tell the difference between it being on the chopped vs the king. Best part is Mama is happy....lol

I'm sure your wife is much happier now.  I had just the pad on my chopped tour pak and when my wife started to nod off, I was always worried she could fall off.  Now with the new backrest and seat, she can sleep all she wants.   :)  :)

I love the yellow.  It would have been my first choice, then grey and then orange.  But I bought mine the week before the '10s hit the floor and the pickings were very slim.

I went from this...

To this...  :2vrolijk_21:

What a difference the seat and backrest made for both of us.  It's hard to see, but the stitching is orange to match the bike.

This is a Corbin setup and well worth the money.  The only problem was that the front bucket actually raised me up 1".  Darn I had to buy a new windshield...  :2vrolijk_21:

Man that seat and backrest look good on there Dan. I fell in love with the yellow first time I saw it. My dream is for the 2019 models to produce another yellow rodie. If that was to happen I would own a pair....lol.

Just finished a 117 kit last week and got it through some heat cycles so other than her getting to set on it she hasn't had the chance to hit the road with it yet but she is already proud of me... Bike will make it to the tuner this weekend so she will get the chance to be really proud of me next week when we get a chance to get out.

Will we see you in Eureka Springs in June?

Glad you're up and running again with the 117".  From what I've read it's a GREAT upgrade.

Good luck and hope to see you in June.

Not in a position to where I can commit to Eureka but sure going to make every attempt to at least get by for a day

Sounds good.  It's going to be a blast.

I was part of the investigative group from May '16.  I've never been there before and it was gorgeous country to see.  The Best Western has a great restaurant, but with over 100 CVO'ers on site, the waiting may be a problem.

Anyway, hope to see ya there, at least for a day.
