Title: 2009 CVO Ultra value
Post by: dave29 on August 03, 2017, 03:14:39 PM
I have a 2009 CVO Ultra with about 4500 miles on it. Bike is in excellent condition. I have no idea what it is worth. Any ideas??
Thank you.

Per NADA, the low retail is $14,400 and high retail is $18,600.  The 4,500 miles helps some and hurts a little, I would consider it a plus overall though.

Also, just curious, what color scheme is the bike?

The figure I posted is Actual Value. Yes, Retail is from $14400-$18600. A bike with low miles and super clean should retail for a premium. Good Luck!!!

Just the difference in the valuations between for trade-in and if the sale is to a private party.

I like your SESG. I sold one last year that I bought for my wife, to a fellow CVO Group member. Same color. It was a tough sell because I really liked the bike. Your's looks great!!!

I really hate seeing you sell such a nice low mile bike. I would never pay 38-40k for a bike again. These bikes are so Simple in mechanics I can't justify that kind of cash for one. You have a beautiful bike and if it would be in Florida I would have been your buyer. Don't fall for the new tech line. These bikes are not too different from each generation. Sadly they do depreciate more than you like to know. Enjoy it. Unless you are moving away from the brand. Good Luck!!

I love the bike and it has a few mod's on it. Fulsac mufflers, catless HD factory pipes, upgraded audio system including speakers and amp, upgraded HD race control module to accommodate a custom dyno tune from my HD dealership, 1st generation of HD Nav mounted on the handle bars. I'll be 67 next year and there are fewer and fewer friends to ride with, if you catch my meaning. I also hate to have it sitting in my garage all summer.
Thanks for all the input. Now I just need to do a little soul searching.

Don't feel bad about letting your bike sit in the summer. In Florida I usually stop riding from June until Sept-Oct. is just too HOT!! I do admire your love for riding. So keep the tires down on the pavement and don't loose the passion. I know a day will come when I will also stop riding. Best Wishes!
