Title: What handlebars do you have and didn't need any extensions ?
Post by: Johnny Walker on August 14, 2017, 11:45:12 PM
Post a picture showing your after market handlebars you put on your '13 Road King and didn't have to extend any wires or cables. Please tell me about your handlebars. I'm needing to change mine. I need higher rise and more pullback than stock. Don't want to buy or mess with any extensions.  Thank you so much.

Should be good with 10" and under for no extensions. I've heard of cases where people "make 12 inch bars work", but that phrase alone would make me a little nervous.

it's the 9" ape of the Road King Special. It was a deal i could not resist  :bananarock:

it's not the most beautiful bar, and not the one i wanted, but the position is great with the seat and comfort is here.

I will make pics this week end, now i just have some bad shots made in the garage.

Hey thanks Road King.. I'm just not that much into cruiser handlebars. Those are about 32" wide and I'm looking for something more in the area of 25" or so and taller.. Thanks so much for your help, it's greatly appreciated.

just another one  :)

Did you have to purchase the 1" risers or are these bars 1.25 where they attaché to the neck ?

That's what I'm thinking too Scott.. I just need to find some bars that are 1.25" where they attach to the neck so I don't have to buy that 1" riser.. Thanks so much Scott.

The bar has 1.25 all over as my clamps are 1.25 as well  :)

Thanks.  :2vrolijk_21:

I have some 12" LA choppers bars that are nearly identical dimensions as the wild 1 12.5" bars. Half inch shorter obviously, and I think the base at the riser may be a half inch wider, they look the same other than that. They are 1.25" at the riser area. An amateur machinist could quickly notch them for throttle by wire. I'd make you a hell of a deal. They are new, never installed. I got caught up in a shipping issue, waited too long and never returned them.
