It is with great sadness that I received the below email from Diana last night.  Those of you that attended the Redwoods GTG last year will remember that David had the interesting, aerodynamic shaped fiberglass trailer.....

Hi JCZ,
 
I am writing to you as you are a great representative of the CVO group.
 
I wanted to let you know that my gentle husband, David Rivers, passed away last month from esophageal cancer.
 
David had two passions – motorcycling and travelling – and the CVO GTGs enabled him to do both.
 
We had attended:  Nelson, BC (07); Sedona, AZ (08); Lake Tahoe, CA (11); Spokane, WA (12); Carmel, CA (14); Ouray, CO (15); Fortuna, CA (16).
 
David very much enjoyed meeting up with old friends and making new friends in the CVO group.  He always found it interesting to chat and joke with the good natured CVO members about bikes and life.
 
Please pass on this news and I hope that on one of the Cody rides, the riders will think of David.

I am so sorry to hear this. I didn't know them but send my condolences and wish David's family the best as they go through this.

Diana, Sad News,David was a good man.So glad he made the effort to get out and play with the CVO friends. He will be missed.

So sad to hear about this. We met David and Diana at the last two GTGs. Nice folks. Condolences to Diana.
