Title: Cam bearing puller
Post by: LMR on September 06, 2017, 09:53:58 PM
Am I doing something wrong or are the newer cam bearing larger than the 06 model? I had a cam puller for up to 06 and tried it on the 2016 and did not catch. Seemed to have had a lot of play.

The engine changed in 2007 (06 on Dyna).  You'll need a new tool.

Depending on your brand of puller you might be able to order just the mandrel that pulls the bearings. Don't remember what brand I have but it came with both pullers and installers

I'm wondering if a wheel bearing puller would work.

But I have a cam change kit for 07 up that I loan out.  Takes a few days to get there Priority.
