How many thousands need to be saved off to get a 90 cc combustion chamber? From a 2016 se110 head.

They run anywhere form 93 CC to 98 CC from MOCO. I shaved .018 off my water cooled head for 92 CC  . You can also slip in a 2.120 intake and that will reduce the CC of the head and open up the throat fo the port. Very inexpensive way to make power. I used the intake from an " MVA" head. Stem is .040 shorter your head guy should be able to take care of that and give a you a good valve job to clean things up while he's there . While I was there I would slip in a Set a AV&V CONICAL springs and throw those HD springs as far as I could!

Max cut on a wet head is .020. I believe we shaved  .040 off   my air cooled head . Don't  remember what the cc's were  Check with John Sachs, he can dial you right in on numbers.

Thanks.. I got a 2016 CVO pro street Breakout and want to use the drop in 117 kit. The low CCC looks like it would be soft at low rpm. If I could get the heads milled to 90cc that would give me a corrected comp of 9.3 or 193 CCC.

 Make sure and zero deck the cyls.  mine were .009 down in the front and .012 in the back.  With 92 CC head, zero deck, .030 gasket and an SE 585 cam. Mine was 10:57.1 static, 9:96.1 corrected. 209 CCP.

Look at the drop on 117 kit that Suburban Speed offers.
Harley cylinders and Mahle 6.6 CC domed pistons.

What is your source of maximum head cut on the wet head? Not doubting but just want to learn why?
AV&V by the way only sells beehives not conical springs.

My source is John Sachs on both max cut on head  and AV&V conical  springs. VSK600S http://av-v.com/products/harley-davidson/twin-cam-components/twin-cam-valve-spring-kits/  (http://av-v.com/products/harley-davidson/twin-cam-components/twin-cam-valve-spring-kits/) On the head I believe it has to do with the water passage alignment on the gasket. John Sachs....where are you...?

The water passage in the heads have a 90 degree end and a 45 degree end. As you remove material from the deck of the head, the 45 degree side gets thin fast.
I don't care for beehive springs, so I use AV&V dual springs, or stay with the factory springs depending on what cams are being used. Conicals on lifts over .675".
