It's a good looking bike!
Bet you wish you still had it.
I know I wish I still had some of my previous bikes.

Thanks. :2vrolijk_21:

Yes and no.. I'm to much a chromeaholic, and to anal about keeping my bikes detailed I'm afraid having two would break me, I'd spend to much time detailing to enjoy, etc...

I sold it (gave it away when I went into CVO lust) to a friend of mine. He hardly ever rode it, and I think put maybe 5,000 miles on it since '04. He finally ending up trading it in on a Hayabusa. :nixweiss:

Eagle,

I have got the leather ones, 1 on each side. I find them very handy little saddle bags.

Cheers

Chrome is good!
My "OCD" was diagnosed a few years ago and as far as I know there is still no cure. However I thought the chrome tool boxes may have been a little too much!

Cheers

I know that feeling. ;D You're probably right the black tool box really accents all the other chrome you have on your bike. :2vrolijk_21:

Eagle1,

Just calm down there!

What I really meant to say was the leather ones are more user friendly & practical with an opening at the top & a zipper covered with a waterproof velcro flap, also your chit dont rattle inside them either.

I have toolboxes on both sides - carry all kinds of tools and some mini jumper cables. Great and practical addition!

Aussie,

I just want to say, you were once, an icon; my idol. That's right, I wanted to go to OCD school after seeing all of your sickness in it's splendid glory. But Mike, "too much chrome" means there is still money in your wallet for things not of the OCD persuasion. What happened to you?

I am appalled, and I hope you can inspire me once again, in the OCD future.

Your (Sliding away) fan,

Mike K.

I have the box sitting in the garage. I bought it (including the little liner) for my 2000 Fat Boy, but never got around to install it  ??? ???
Now the bike has been copped up, and I doubt it would look good with theme I am doing.

Ride safely,
Louis

I had to use a spacer kit with mine but I was using foot pegs. I think when you buy the tool box there is a rear peg mount/relocation kit available. But I think this is not required when using rear boards.

How difficult is it to to fit the chrome box (each side?). Any serious mods or does it bolt straight on?

They should bolt straight on as long as your pipes are not in the way

At the risk of being repetitive...  I didn't see anywhere in the thread where you got those chrome toolboxes.  I've always wanted to carry a few tools around and didn't want to put luggage on the sides.  The tach prevents most windshield bags from fitting.  If you remember, would you please share?
