We have not seen enough of these on the dyno so far the ones that have been dyno'd gave so / so results.   If your after performance I would tell you to look at

in this order

Bassani 2 into 1  No falsie pipe
D&D Fat Cat 2 into 1 can be purchased with a falsie
Thunderheader 2 into 1 can be purchased with a falsie
Rinehart 2 into 1 no falsie available.

If your looking at quality of chrome / finish

D&D
Rinehart
Bassani
Thunder header

Loudness based on my lack of hearing

Thunderheader
Bassani
D&D / Rinehart about the same   Rinehart is a bit more throaty while the D&D is a different sound but equally as loud.

Hope this helps some.   I heard that Rinehart was working on a larger diameter pipe for big bore motors.

your quote,

Is that rumor or will they have a new pipe?
Inquiring minds want to know!

There's some interesting reading on the Rinehart 2-into-1 starting here: http://flhrsei.org/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?num=1144700310/284#284, and a photo of them installed on a SEEG on the following page in that thread.

Chipper,

It was just information that was passed on to me.  It seems to make sense that they Gerald would want to have a pipe for the larger bore motors such as the 110 and higher :)

My best guess is that it is real only thing is it usually takes time to make it to a reseller such as BUB then be put into production.

btw the jokes are sparse atm i think everyone went to sturgis or on vacation elsewhere.

I finished up a bike build today and rode the bike for the first time today with the Reinhart 2-1. In the shop the pipe sounds really good. Very low mellow rumble. On the road  when you grab a handfull this pipe is LOUD! It sounds really good but very loud. This is on a 100" S&S Evo based engine in a Ness Softial chassis.

I bought one new and ran it on my 06 S.E. fatboy, took it off after a few days and sold it.  Was not impressed at all.  Hardly performed better than 2-2's.  I called tech at Bub, they recommended a pro-pipe map for fuel and they said another dyno guy had called after comparing it to a Python 2-1 on a 103" and it did not perform as well.  He said they were working on a quiet baffle first and then a performance baffle.  He said all of they're testing was on an 88".  Do some dyno research on the pipe before you choose.  The numbers the other member put up here on his touring was not all that impressive if you compare it to D&D's or Rineharts.

Here's what I received from the man (Gerry Rhinehart):

Joe, I have had very good response on the 2 into 1 systems on 95 and 103 c.i. engines. The main diferrence between the true dual and the 2 into 1 is the true duals will have better top end H.P., and the 2 into 1 will have better bottom and mid range T.Q. than the true duals. Over all I have heard good response on the new  2 into 1 designs.

Thanks for buying our product!
