I put a deposit on one yesterday also, as of today unknown when it will be here. I told them I prefer the Red one but will take the autumn and silver. Both are Sharp SOB's.
:orange: I'm more excited than a kid the night before Christmas.

I want one! I like the orange/silver and the blue/sapphire, guess it's a good thing my local dealer only has a red one inbound this week. ;)

I put a deposit on a blue one today that is supposed to arrive in the next couple weeks.  The dealer has two stores, and is getting a silver and orange at the 2nd store which is already spoken for and supposed to arrive this week.  Without seeing them in person, that might be my first choice. Thought I  better get in line and maybe I will like the Blue enough to buy it when I see it 'live'...

I am not locked into a price yet, I did make it clear that I wasn't going to pay more than msrp and they did confirm that when
they took my deposit.
I wanted to leave it loose so when we sit down I have an out if they go sideways.

Smart - I'm having a tough time with the dealer making 8k at msrp ... and trying to gouge another 700-800 profit in the prep of a bike that comes assembled. this is the reason we don't see decent re-sale on these bikes - oh yea if you want to trade your 2009 cvo they want to steal it for wholesale or under and make another 3-4k on the transaction

Certainly you aren't insinuating that a H-D dealership would offer you way less on trade in value for a bike they overpriced to begin with ? Not H-D!

Have not seen any at my local dealer who btw is a MSRP dealer and does not charge a dealer set up fee and his doc fee is $60 I think. Of course the service department leaves a lot to be desired but on my last bike because of all the "extra" fees and being a MSRP dealer he beat the other two dealers that had the tribal orange CVO by over $10,000. no $800 set up fee, no $225 dealer doc fee and local dealer offered $3500 more in trade and was not starting at $6,000 over sticker!

Good point but let's be honest none of us would lay down like this on a car deal - you wouldn't mind as much if they would pay you a fair price on the trade ie: charge you msrp with 8k profit and pay retail for your trade this would still leave them in good shape on the entire transaction.

Mine is MSRP, I told them a few months back I won't pay over MSRP. I didn't discuss trade value because I am still riding my 2012 till the new one comes in. But I am pretty sure they will treat me right.

With a few of us buying a new Limited, should this site consider changing to CVO/Limited Group? I sure understand keeping it CVO, and appreciate that all can join the site. I really enjoy.

Not sure what you asking... A CVO Limited is as much a CVO as CVO SESG, CVO CUSE, CVO SEEG, etc., etc. This is CVOHarley which encompasses all CVO's and/or Screamin' Eagle that came out of the Custom Vehicle Operations division.

Aren't all CVO's limited

Personally I would have preferred the MoCo not messing with a good thing and simply leaving the model as a CVO Ultra.

When the Limited's first came out I figured that they would be "limited" production, (which would have been cool), but I guess the MoCo has other thoughts.  :confused5:

Well - bit the bullet yesterday and put a deposit down on the burgundy blaze yesterday - the bike is due in at the end of the month. Any tips on pipes and/or tuner etc... ?

For what it's worth, I feel that this site should stay true to it's founding core - CVO, even though many non-CVO owners have always been welcomed and I suspect always will be made to feel welcomed in the future.

If they feel the need, possibly a Limited owner will start their own LIMITED site, but hopefully this CVOHARLEY site will remain just that.

Just sayin'.

This is Scott again. I just purchased a new 2014 "ultra" Limited. I really don't see why the Mo.Co. calls the bike LIMITED? The only real difference between the Ultra Classic and Ultra Limited is Liquid cooling and the upgraded stereo, or should I say BOOM Box? Maybe they figured Limited looked better on the front fender than Liquid Cooled or Twin Cooled? I like liquid cooled and see no reason for the company to hide it.

When I mentioned changing CVO to CVO/Limited; it was tongue and cheek. The CVO's are special and so is your forum. Now that I switched from a CVO to the Limited, I will still watch and participate on this site, I learn a lot and appreciate the friendly atmosphere.

Scott
