My ’13 CUSE8 has 29, 677 miles - just had the 30k service completed while in winter storage at my local dealership. Engine is stock but running Fullsac headers and V&H Monster ovals with a good tune.

My 2009 FLTRSE3 had 19000 miles on it with no issues. Just had some motor work done, waiting for a final dyno pull. But when the tech tore it down, no issues reported.

This winter I installed S&S premium lifters, Rocker Lockers, air/oil filters in the rocker boxes (while I had the Rocker covers off) and Fullsac DX with 2" baffles . Engine purrs and exhaust sounds great. 20,000 miles in a '13 CVO Ultra.

Hey Guys, i have a 2011 Road Glide Ultra CVO and have been riding Harley's for more than six years.  I bought this bike with 37,000 miles on it, it had a stage II tuner kit and upgraded cams.  At 41,000 I had to have an entire engine rebuild.  I should have done more reading up on this site and others after the rebuild.  That rebuild was done two years ago, i just started getting engine noise that sounded like lifters.  Looks like I will be needing ANOTHER engine rebuild at 60,000 miles.  Unfortunately I did not renew my warranty, what could go wrong in 20,000 miles???   I am amazed that Harley riders have not raised this issue with the government in regard to defective products.  A $45,000 product that has a motor that will fall apart at 20,000 miles?  They finally had to admit they have a problem with the ABS brake systems because of thousands of complaints.  As owners, we have to shell out $900 a year for a warranty just because we know that this product has serious defects.  Why are Harley owners accepting these serious flaws in the product and shelling out thousands of dollars on warranties to cover up the defects?  When you read postings from Harley mechanics on a variety of sites they talk about Catastrophic Failures that happen all the time. Harley has been building bikes for a long time but it's issues like this that have people riding other brands. I would like to hear other riders thoughts.

I have 71,000 problem free miles on my 2013 CVO Road Glide Custom, only mods were Fullsac DX Pipe and TTS Tuner. Decided that I would upgrade it now to the 117 so its in the shop now and should get it back by the end of the week

Just did s&s premium lifters, inner cam bearings, and rocker lockers on my 2012 SESG at 14000 miles. Preventative maintenance i guess.

A few of the stockers looked suspect. Could feel a ridge on 2 of them.

Always a good idea to proactively change lifters but also consider the inner camshaft needle bearings (upgrade to the Koyo uncaged style).

Lot of guys will do the rocker lockers if the top end is noisy.

Keep an eye on the compensator too.

I’m gonna take a look at a 2007 FLHRSE3, second owner, excellent condition, with 42,000 miles with all service records. No major work or recall work except for regular interval service/fluid changes and tune ups, done on bike. He’s asking $10,900 for it, of course I’m gonna offer less for it if all goes well with the inspection. Any suggestions on how much to offer, what to keep an eye and ear for? Mahalo in advance! (I’m aware of the 07’ 110 motor issues. Maybe this one’s a unicorn? lol)

You may want to look for a 2009 or later, as they re-designed the frame and the ride is/was much improved.  If you have a good reason to get the 2007, go ahead.  But a 2007 with that many miles probably isn't a great deal.
