Big D's a Road King guy through and through  He rode LD for about 30 miles and the look on his face said it all. I gave him the keys to Elvis and he's been grinnin from ear to ear ever after

I'm glad to hear he can't be converted to Glide Land! There are a few of us die hard RK guys left! Have fun gang. Ride hard, ride safe! ;) Hoist! 8)

Ok, it's cold, with snow/salt/sand on the ground here. How long you going to make a Brotha wait to see pictures of "Big Daddy's Cali. Vacation"? ;D

d00d,
Big D just spent about 30 minutes trying to post some pics. He says my IT provider is so slow he's going to wait till he gets home. Beagle downloaded the pics, but couldn't size em. I'm beginning to feel not so dumb when it comes to all this. All I can say is we're having a great time and the weather's been a good. Not as warm as it was mid-week, but Big D's not complaining. Saw Larry Holmes at Harrah's Casino on the Rincon Indian Reservation. Beagle won some money. Rode around the mountains outside of Dago. Good thing it's 3,000 miles and a bunch of snowy roads back to Connecticut, or I might wake up Monday morning and find Elvis gone. Big D's settled in good on my boy Elvis. Just won't touch the saddlebags. I have to pack his chit on LD.  ;D

;) Good to hear that you guys are having a good time.  I never thought about the luggage  being so special that you would be afraid to touch it.  I can see BigDaddy sittin on Elvis in my mind's eye.  It's a pretty darn good picture.  We can wait for the photo journal till y'all are not in each other's company.  Makes more sense to use these special moments gettin to enjoy each other's company.

I only took two pics so  far,  shame on me.....I'll be sure to get some more today and tomorrow.  What I should have gotten was one of Q Friday morning.  I think Spidey and me wore the pup out a little.  He held his own all day though (I don't think the helmet quite fit after Thursday night)  but it'll be fine today.  Here's where we stopped along the coast (Carlsbad),  the boyz were over adding to the volume of the ocean.

HOWS OLE LARRY HOLMES LOOK NOW DAYS BB ?

Why did he die and I saw his dopleganger ? I THOUGHT the guy I saw was Larry Holmes, but he looked great and younger than what I thought Larry should look like these days, so I wasn't sure, but a couple of guys at the black jack table said it was Larry so - - - - - - - -

Just got back from our adventures in La La Land. Cold and rainy the whole 140 miles back down the coast. Big D got to spend some time at Vennice Beach, Malibu, Bel Aire, Beverly Hills ( took him down Rodeo Drive) and on out to Hollywood. We rode the Topanga Canyon Rd and I somehow screwed up and couldn't find my way down Mulholland Drive. Stoneman got us about as close the Hollywood sign as you can for some good pics. Spent the night just above the Universal Studios Back Lot. ( more pics) in a house owned by an actor who's a buddy of Stoneman. Guy had a cool old 60s Hollywood house and a yard full of nice toys. (Daytona Ferrari, 68 Firebird 400 Conv, Classic Studebaker, some old bikes I didn't see good enough to say what they are.  Evening out with Stoneman was too weird to post. Got in at 3AM and back up and down the road just after 0900. Beagle took some pics so maybe he'll post em today. Big D's nappin right now.

Well, well ,well where do I start. Lets just say I am packed and ready to get back to the frozen tundra of CT. I will post pics when I get home so i will only try to explain some of my adventures. As Brian said last night was out of the twilight zone. We went to a "strip club" where the women stay clothed :nixweiss: :worthless: and the reason there are no pics is because the women if that is what you want to call them where utterly atrocious. We only went there to see BB's boy Stoney who lives up to that moniker fer sure. We rode a lot before we went to the club and by the time they got on stage at about midnight I was already tapped and wanted to pry my own eyes out of my head. Thay played til about 1:30 and we stayed until they packed up then we mde the trek from wonderful Simi Valley back to the Hollywood Hills to crash out it was a long day. We got up and left out about 9:30 but not before I saw the back lot and the scene that was left there was the airplane in the street from War of the Worlds. It had rained all night and ol Elvis was soaked and we had a solid ride ahead of us. We rode home and I was cold and wet and these maniac Californians still ride 90 miles an hour in the rain. As usual we lane split through some accident traffic and finally made it back to BB central at about 1 or so. Now its time to relax before my big trip home tom.  I will post pics in the next few days. Later,Q

First of all I never to claimed to be a professional alcoholic. :huepfenlol2:But they definately beat the chit out of me, it was a long day and with the time change and all the travel and all the refreshments, we still put on some miles. And we did some good riding on the "left coast twisties" after I snapped back to. I had a blast but these left coasters speed everywhere with reckless abandon. I would look at the speedo and I never saw less than 80 mph in the slow lane. Oh well it is what it is. Oh and by the way there kid growler my helmet fits perfectly and always does.  Later,Q

Funny thing Candy is that I really didn't want to ride elvis because of those damn bags. I was affraid something stupid would happen and it would be a chore to replace them. But in the end they spent the night outside in the Hollywood Hills getting rained on, who woulda thunk it. But I like Elvis better than LD and it rides just like mine with a little more grunt.  Talk at ya later,Q
