Rob, you did not offend me.  It has been drilled into my skull that suicide is a hellbound evil.  Just trying to illustrate that point.  I'm certainly never going to test the theory.  That's all I'm saying.  We all have too much for which to live.  Problems can be solved with less extreme measures.
Bagger,
Sorry to hear about your friend.  His problems were obviously too much for him to handle.  But unfortunately when they do take that route, they don't think about the pain they cause to those that are left behind.   I'm truly sorry to hear that you lost a friend.

Bagger, sorry for your loss and all those affected by this act.  My closest friend and constant riding companion committed suicide in 1984.  I just about quit riding for several years.  That was before I got the wifey interested and he and I were always out on the road every single weekend.  Like you say, it is hard to understand why and what could drive someone to such an extreme.  Those left behind, family and friends are most affected.

Henry,  Sorry to hear about the loss of your co-worker and friend.

Often, the people who actually are able to do this give little indication of their intent to do so.  Depression, dealing with life in this complex world, and feeling hopeless about whatever is was that was troubling his mind, caused him to make this choice.  Some view it as a selfish act because of the pain it causes others, but I can assure you in his mind, he saw no other solution to his inner pain.  Suicide is a very complicated trail to walk....most turn away from that path, but some do not.  Although it will take some time for those left behind to understand his choice, take some comfort in knowing that he has found peace.

All,  While everyone's well wishes are certainly very much appreciated, I can't understand how anyone can do anything like that which Jack did.  For me and my family, that is a good thing.  There is entirely too much for which to live.  We all have our own beliefs.  Some are different and some are alike.  You guys know mine.

Ours is not to understand, but to believe in ourselves. Judge not your brother, but embrace his soul.   Sorry for your loss my friend

Bagger,
I know I'm new to this sight, but not to your situation. My condolences. I have lost a sister, two cousins and a few friends to the same. Very hard to understand why. Just remember the good times and keep fighting through it. Here to help if I can.

Hang in there Bagger, I know how you feel I just went to the memorial yesterday for the five crewmembers in our unit killed last weekend.

Three of my old girlfriends brothers killed themselves.  It spread like a virus when the first one did it.  You can never understand it and each persons situation is different.

We're here for you.

No easy way to put it, loss is one of the most painful experiences a person has to endure through their life. God Bless and peace, brother.
