Great Time Of Year To Ride In Florida
« on: October 06, 2016, 08:49:37 PM »

Aside from the possible hurricane of the century, this is the time of year I look forward to here in Florida.  The heat breaks and the humidity is less than oppressive.  Plus, Biketoberfest in Daytona and the Fall Thunder Beach Rally right here in Panama City.  How about you?

Ah, the humidity and the oppressive heat finally breaks and I can get out and ride without feeling like I'm under the broiler.

How about you?

Yeah a great time to ride.  Temps are perfect, was a buggy ride tonight.  Some of us ride out to a local lake for cold beverages & cigars on Thursdays.

Nice, maybe I will be riding down there next year this time.

I rented a bike at six bends a few weeks ago, right after the hurricane it was very nice then too.

Last few days were real nice for riding in the Crystal River, Cedar Key areas.  Rode back home to TN yesterday, nice ride all the way.

Friday will be ok here in TN but the weekend looks a bit chill. Highs in the 40's

I'd love to rice to florid on the Christmas break but the wife won't go for it. I'm becoming one of the Cranks.

If weather looks like no snow, we will ride to our daughters in Pensacola for few days at Christmas.  If it looks like snow we will drive.

Looking forward to a ride from Panama City to Naples for Thanksgiving.  Plan on avoiding the freeway the whole way.

Wife and I along with 3 other couples making the ride from southwest Louisiana in mid October to Key West. Hoping for the weather gods to smile on us for the 2 1/2 day ride down, going to spend a week there enjoying blue waters, cool nights and lots of rum...then 2 1/2 days of riding back.

My wife and I do the ride from TN in the Spring every other year.  I see you retired from the Navy the same year I did.

I am curious, where do you see the retired information?
