Anyone do a solo tour pak. I'm thinking of doing this on my 15. Any pictures would be helpful.
Thanks

Have you had any luck with moving that tour pak forward. My wife has asked for hers to be moved up about another inch. So I sketched up a bracket design that will allow it to move forward approximately 3.5" and having a friend with a tool shop making up a set. Let you know how it goes.

LBB,

I hadn't any luck, I like your idea with the mark-up. Could the bracket be made adjustable to 5". The other thing is anything over 3" forward will expose the mounting bracket unless you trim it forward so you cant see it. Let me know how it works for you I'd like one also. This could be a money maker too.

Thanks

Will let you know how it works. If I got it right this should move the pak forward a max of 4" with 2.5" adjustment rearward. Unfortunately to get 5" the bracket would need to be longer to the point where it would be visible sticking out the rear of the pak.

Brackets completed and installed. Did not get as much adjustment as I thought I would but was able to move the pak forward another 2" which works well for the wife. photos attached

So what would you do different to at least get 4 inches?
Did you have any issues with the mounting bracket screws?
Let me know,
 Thanks

OK after the wife road with this set up for a few days she asked for it to be moved further forward. I put the 1/2" metal spacers that came with the original setup under my fabricated spacers. This allowed me to access the full length of the slots and move forward approx 3.75" from the original position. I'm sure that a fabricated spacer could be made about an inch longer and get 4.75".

Hope this helps.

I had this set made up at a local machine shop. Anyone with a Bridgeport could easily make these. Cost me $130.00 CND.
If you like I could take a photo with finished sizes for you. Do you have anyone locally that could have a go at it?

That would be great. I'll find some here or I can send you money. Either way works for me.
Thanks
