If they did that you would need good dental insurance, for the pits...
The pits are an option and would need to be ordered separately.

For 2018 I hope the guy in charge of colors finally has that eye surgery he's needed for the last couple of years.  Please, no more light purple RG Ultras, no more 1980 bass boat metal flake, no more flat beige, and ditch that metallic pea green too.

Have to stick with those colors, they got a great deal buying in bulk at Costco, going to stick with it til they run out in a few years.  :pineapple:

I assume at some point the M8 will migrate to all Touring models, then to Dyna's, then Softails.  I doubt this would all happen for 2018 however.  Harley doesn't have the engineering resources to handle all of that at one time.

Jerry
I'm positive your are correct on the bold, all 2017 Touring models have the M-8.....Cant imagine them going back to a twin cam on the touring models......

In 2018 all tires will be filled from the factory with nitrogen; for a $39 extra service charge.

As a dealer add-on that nitrogen will be sucked out (to be re-sold later) and replaced with nitro-helium to further lighten the bike; for a further $89 extra charge (the percentage of helium will 1.903%).

Unfortunately each of these upgrades will require recalibrations ($99 service fee each time) of the TPMS because of the different properties of each gas.  Also, it will cost $149 to R&R both tires and wheels to have them rebalanced since nitrogen and helium don't mix well thus leaving a (Harley technical term) thump of helium on one side of the tire that will have to be compensated for.  Fortunately once the two gasses do mix they then tend to stay mixed.  So only one more rebalance after 20 hours of the tires being in service and mixing the gasses through rotation will be required.

These are all new model improvements for the 2018 fleet.

Also, Harley has incorporated the blinker fluid and linked ABS systems in to one ABS/Blinker Fluid regulator pump.  With this the front and rear turn signals will continue to blink evenly no matter how hard the brakes are applied. The new special Screamin' Eagle Self Cancelling Blinker Fluid will be available approximately November 2018 as a $119.95 accessory to bring the self cancelling function to the turn signals of this new and improved system (except Dyna).

Now THATS funny right there!  I don't care who ya are!!!    ;D

Well, this year they have already introduced two "new" models to the line-up.  The Road King Special and Street Rod so only 47 more to go to meet "50 new in 3 years" promise.  No telling what the MoCo will re-introduce, re-gurgitate or re-cycle for 2018 and call it "new".... :huepfenjump3: :huepfenlol2: :drink: ::) :bananarock:

There has been rumor of the Resurrected Pool Boy 2.0.  It's kind of like Einstein's spooky connections at a distance to me.  I don't understand it but I don't doubt it either!

The Resurrected Pool Boy is back and spreading the word to all that ask. He told me that Mother Harley aka the Corporate Grurus are going to introduce the 2018 Models only when all the  2016 and 2017's are sold. Then and only then will the 2018 Models be introduced.

Let me tell you that it is to late to trade your old and tired 110 TC and expect to get a descent trade value. My 2014 Lim lost $1500 in one week at the announcement of the new M8.

Oh Lord saw the green CVO Lim on the floor the other day and I thought it was dreadful.

That's a good way to keep the mileage down though.  After all, we all know that if the mileage is down you'll always be able to sell it for more than you paid for it.  I think that's actually in the Constitution.

Lot of funny stuff here,  but on the serious side of the issue,  (full)......all models........water cooling is likely only 2-3 model years away at best.  Victory canned their model line cause most of their models could not meet the current and/or upcoming European requirements for emissions and such.  Thus they chose to concentrate strictly on the Indian.

Things are a changing whether we like it or not.  How many of you still regularly use a (corded) drill versus one with a battery hanging off the bottom. :nixweiss:

I'm not liking where all this is going,  but wake up and smell the roses........................Big time changes are coming quickly to what you currently know and love as a loud/snorting air cooled Harley.
