:soapbox: Ok, Sounds like we all need to get involved in some sort of action to stop this chit from happening. Isn't that what the "American Motorcyclist Association " is for? rights, riding, racing! I'd ride my bike if it sounded like a vacuum cleaner however it sure wouldn't be as much fun. >:(. The streets might be a little cleaner tho.  Is a "Harley still a Harley" with out it's sound?

So basically what you guys are saying here is, that like every year before, no one has a clue what they're doing. I looked back to the '06 posts about the same subject on the '07s. So many people knew what was coming. Nobody was right and there were some crazy things talked about that they were definitely doing. None of them were done. You know HD is about the best there is at keeping a lid on this stuff. I find it kinda interesting! ;) Hoist! 8)

The EPA regs will get more stringent, and mods more difficult to be legal.

I'm very happy with my 02 carbed stage IV 95" motor, and as much as I like the new 110's , they don't put out as much hp as mine does  an not much more torque off the floor. Motorcyclist dyno'd
a  07 SE dyna and it had 89.4hp@5500 105.2lbs ft @3000 .  For 110 " that's pathetic.

I see the V-rod based engines eventually taking over, perhaps in larger displacement.

Water cooling and fuel injection is not a bad thing , just different.

I have it on good source that until some of the "old traditionalists" in the executive branch of MoCo departs, you will not see a water cooled touring bike.  That said however, EPA regs may override that in the not to distant future.

Don't forget the "gloom & doom" predicted about catalytic converters in cars 15 years ago.  We have more HP coming out of standard muscle cars today than the hotrods of the 60s & 70s on leaded gas!

c'mon BB, that was three weeks old.  There's a rule on how long you can wait to fake annoyance.  48 hours is it. After that it costs you one beer per missed day.  I just scored like two weeks worth of beers  :2vrolijk_21: :drink: !

I hear ya (beatin the dead horse) Spiderman...if I lived in California I'd hate to hear about doing mods myself.  We "East of the San Andreas Fault" still enjoy the freedoms of no emission rules.

Here in Tennessee we have no inspections and nobody really cares what you do to anything!  I love the Southeast......

Hey Sixgun,
You're still a bit new around here since you've obviously never heard the way we ride SoCal style. Lane splittin in rush hour at 90mph. And neither of my bikes have got anything resembling emmision control on em unless you count the Beano my old lady gets me to take  :o
