whats everyone's general feeling about ultima or revtec 6 speed trans? this would be behind a S&S 124. looking at options. i know baker is the best but the price tag is pretty high in comparison. currently i have a 5 speed and would like to drop the rpms a little on the interstate.

I have the Ultima 6 speed on my Boardtrack racer with their 113" 120hp motor, but have yet to fire it up after 6 years... :(

I know a lot of guys on the Shovelhead US site run the RT trans and have nothing but good things to say about them.  Albeit not behind a 124" motor.  But I know some of the guys are running larger motors and really beat on their bikes and still the RT holds up.

I've not heard good/bad on the Ultima trans though.

I have a 1000 dollar Primo Rivera 6 speed O.D.  in a FXR4 with a S&S V111 with well over 65k miles and no problem.  I wanted one for my 98 Road King that has a S&S V124. But I waited 3 months for one so I had to pay 2500 for a Baker 6  speed O.D. because there was a manufacturer issue.  I wouldn't hesitate to buy another Primo Rivera  6 speed O.D. but I just couldn't wait Amy more

looked into the primo rivera. seems they make one for every year except 2006. actually, everyone lists up to 05 and start again at 07. am i to assume this is because of the hyd clutch? or is there some other difference i dont see.
