Changing slip on's
« on: September 02, 2017, 08:22:47 AM »

Ok stupid question but here goes. I have a 16 Street Glide CVO with rush headers and RC slip on's. I never have really liked the sound from the RC's
If I change out the slip on's do I need to have the bike re- tuned? My local Harley Dealer did the tune on the current pipes.
Looking at Bad Dad's slip on's. I had them on a bike and they sound niiiice.

Your answer lies in how the bike runs after you change out the slip-ons. I doubt very much that there will be such a significant difference in back pressure that it will require a retune. On the other hand, should the bike seem to run significantly hotter or stumble, you might want to consider a Dyno tune.
