Ride a stock 07 110 and you will feel the heat especially if hot outside. Back in the day some of us saw over 310F oil temps and you don't even want to know the cylinder head temps. I know we're talking about the new or newer bikes. Just giving a heat comparison.
Amen to that Rooster.  My '07 was blazing hot until I fixed it with some mods.  Even then it was just tolerable.  Gotta say the newer bikes while still hot are much, much improved for rider and passenger comfort.

I'm betting the rear cylinder heat guard that's now standard on the 2018's keeps the chestnuts from roasting as much as earlier models.

Enjoy!!

Not really sure how much those work.  I have had them on several previous year bikes.

My 09 SERG, and my 12 SERG and my 13 SERK were hotter stock than my 15 SERGU or my 17 SESG.

Found on the earlier bikes removing the cat and a good tune that was not so lean was a big help in reducing the heat.

Hottest bike I had ever had was the 07 110.  As I recall it did not have heat shields, added them later & it helped some but was never enough, even after new pipes and tune.

When you have short legs like me they are closer to the fire when you stop and put your feet down. I never installed the heat shields either. I do have to say my 110 was hotter than the 131 that is in now.

Not sure how much hotter yet.  It does have the oil cooler and the fan for it.  My last two were liquid cooled.  This is not.  Its not been hot out yet so I can not say how much hotter it is on a hot day.

Just to clarify, did it came stock with a fan on the oil cooler?

Yes, my CVO Road glide came stock with a fan for the oil cooler.  I also know for a fact the 18 CVO Street glide does too, as I looked under the first one the dealer got.
