I think it's more the nasty torque dip in the range where most people ride than a 1HP loss that folks don't like. But you're right, sometimes the goal isn't Performance. I have friends who are fine sacrificing power for sound. I'd personally throw on a fat cat or Boarzilla depending on the build and just have both.

I for one, do not spend money to loose torque, or have a bad torque curve.  I look for great torque curve with good sound or even ok sound.

I agree Dave, and plenty of torque you have. I look at the curve before peak numbers.
