If Indian made a CVO
« on: October 02, 2017, 05:57:33 PM »

I’ve had the itch for a new motorcycle for a while now, but none of the new CVOs were doing it for me.  In addition, I have some serious concerns about the reliability of the newer bikes.

Saw the Indian Chieftain Elite when it first came out, and really liked all the additional features that Polaris added to the model.  It was basically a CVO without the increased displacement.

Fast forward a few months, and I came across one still available at a dealer in the Woodlands outside of Houston TX.  The dealer had already done a stage 2 kit on it so how could I resist?  It being a 17 model and with the current state of things in Houston, I was able to make a heck of a deal.

This bike is awesome!  Great handling, more than adequate power, lots of bells and whistles, and don’t forget that sweet Ride Command system!
So if anyone is looking for a great 05 FLHTCSE2, see my listing in the for sale section.

On to the pics

That is one good looking bike! I have been looking at the Indians for a while but just not really ready to flip the switch. I'm interested in the Roadmaster Elite, but haven't ridden one as of yet.

That's a good-looking scooter.  I don't have the itch yet, but when I get it, I'll be seeing if an Indian can scratch it.

That sounded weird.  :nervous:

That's a great looking bike.  Is it my eyes, or has Indian made the front fender a little smaller?

Nice bike.  Good improvements, especially that front fairing.   :2vrolijk_21:

Have looked at that same model in that same color very closely a couple times at the Indian dealer in Rogers, AR.  Also tempted a LOT by their model that's the analog to the Road King that's about the same color.  Really really liked them both.  If could in any way convince myself that having three bikes wasn't just nuts would have one or the other right now.

That's a gorgeous bike you've got.  Have fun with it and share the road stories.

If you are going to add a 3rd bike, it really should be an 05 FLHTCSE2!  :)

The reason I don't have a third bike right now is a few years ago sold an 05 SEEG that was one of the best examples of the model anywhere out there.  Loved that bike and everything about it.  After finished building my Road King project as the more "play" bike and having the Road Glide that ate up any distance miles the SEEG ended up being the one that fell to minimal use.  Also probably too lazy to keep three really clean  ;D .

Well said and well purchased, Matt.  Congratulations on the new Chieftain Elite.  That red is beautiful in the showroom but really pops in the sunlight.  The stage II upgrade is a plus, too.  They outdid themselves on their nav/radio/audio system.

Ya done gooder, sir!

Indian makes two fenders: the traditional valanced fender and the one that is on this bike.
