Just got this note from Mike:

I spoke to Rhnea around 8:50 tonight....she reported that the doctor said they'd repaired the value and it looked like Preston would make a complete recovery. He will remain in ICU for 24-48 hours. He may be able to have visitors Wednesday.
I'll let you know if I hear anything else.
Mike

Been praying for you Preston and am thrilled to hear the best news possible. Of course CHIT, I just realized you will be right back on that new blue monster and there goes my offer to keep it exercisized for you. Great news Bro! :2vrolijk_21:

Phaze,
Glad to hear they decided to repair rather than replace your valve. Should mean a faster recovery. :2vrolijk_21:
Best wishes for your recovery and rehab, you'll be back on the hiway before you know it.

Preston,
Glad to hear that you have made it thru surgery and are on the road to recovery. :2vrolijk_21: Keep a positive attitude and do what ever the Surgeons/Doctors/Nurses/Therapist/and any others tell you to do. Do as much as they'll let you do, and do your PT as is prescribed and you'll be back on your bike before you know it.

Here is the latest on Preston (PHAZE) from an email I just got:

Preston is alert and talkative (imagine that!). We talked for about 15 minutes this morning. He feels very good despite what he's been through...said his throat hurts the most from all the tubes they inserted into him. He's in Baptist East Hospital...room 2417.

They expect he might go home Friday if he continues to show a speedy recovery. If you plan to visit...Rhnea asked that you call first to make sure he's up to it.

Thanks for the update. Glad he is doing so well.
Since they used a robot for his surgery maybe the hospital has computer laptop or wireless keyboard in the rooms? Mine did but I never figured out how to use it. :huepfenlol2:
I know he will be glad to be home.

Phaze,

Glad to hear you doing great after your upgrade to valve 2.0!  Everything will work just fine in a couple of days -- looking forward to seeing your posts again.

Give your nurse a squeeze for me... ;)
