Hubbard says Hello
« on: August 01, 2007, 06:42:56 PM »

All,

Just got off the phone with Hubbard and he is doing ok, been really busy with the opening of his new truck dealership in KY and just hasn't had the time to be online like he would like to be.

I was teasing him a little bit about not riding or making any events and all and happened to suggest that maybe he wasn't riding cause he was a bit fearful someone might unseat him as "king of the hill".

Of course the normal bantering took place and I even suggested that one of his fellow HBRR's just might have the bike to do it, and his reply was tell Chip not to bother he would just be in my way.

Now I am just the messenger here, and of course a little playful stirring of the pot to boot as an added bonus.

Chip, Hub said he expects you to give him a call he was laughing pretty good too.

It was good to hear from Hubbard to know he is doing ok and just busy trying to get the new business off the ground.

Anyone that knows Hubbard he is going to be in Lakeland Nov 3 for the races there with his pro cup car if your interested in going let me know maybe we can organize something to go over and see Carl.

Chip,

I was having a so so day until I heard from Hubbard, he had me rolling when he said that on the phone.   I was giving him a little bit of grief about his disappearance lately, until he explained what was keeping him away.   I asked if he was going to make Maggie Valley in October as it seems he needs a bit of a break lately.   Hopefully he will take a couple of days and grace us with his presence.    I sure hope he pulls ole maudie out to clean out her cob webs.

Please tell Nancy Happy B-Day, Hope she enjoys that wonderful touring present you found her.

Dawg,

Sounds about right, When I asked Carl he denied any work had been done.   No wonder he was so cocky about telling Chip he would be in the way.  Guess he is going to have to make some time to put some miles on Maudie.   I did stir the pot anyhow even not knowing she was freshened up.  Guess he was skeered he might actually get dethroned.   Going to be an interesting summer / early fall i guess once he gets some miles on there.

Barry

Barry,
We were originally located in Ashland, which that facility now houses our Race Team, Collision Center, and Used Truck Parts.  Our new Dealership is at the Intersection of Routes 23 and 32, in Louisa, KY.  That's where all the Coal coming out of WV and KY, being transported by Truck, intersect.  Should do real well there.  Later--HUBBARD

Wow, what a small world. I was just in Ashland Ky last week (7/26 and had dinner at CJ Maggie's Grill), and then travelled up 23 to Ohio (7/27). We went right by your new place (see GPS track below). Wish I would've known.

Lets see,

There's that line in the sand.
Dawg is on one side and Harry is on the other.
The question is whether Maude has been refreshed. (you know a few days at the "Tillys Harley to the Stars Refreshning Spa").
Isn't that the place where ol baggers go to be refreshed?
Or is it Hubbard that has been refreshed?
Only dealership I know that displays "AARP" and "Welcome Hubbard" stickers on the front door.
To outrun the Frontier I 'spect both Hub and Maude to both need a little fluid changing.
But back to that line in the sand.
Dawg, I'm with you. I know Hubbard and getting outrun isn't a part of his agenda.
Wait, I can hear that piano playing also!

That would explain why Hubbard bailed out of the Shatley Springs ride.
Now everyone I ask this,
We all know Hubbard, , , would he miss a race, , , , , , unless Maude wasn't ready!

And the answer is

NO!

The plot thickens,
Stir it Harry.
Your stirring sure would be a lot more fun if you had some beans in your pot.

Since when do you need beans in the game to play stir the old pot and antagonize a few to boot.  what kind of beans do I need Chip to play in this game anyhow.

Harry

Beans, if I need to explain it to you, , , HORSEPOWER!

I know you have heard of that. :nixweiss:

I can't believe I have to explain that to you. But hell, I'm here for you!

If your going to stir the pot then jump up with the guys your trying to play with and "get ya some".

Dawg has a bunch, Hubbard has a bunch (maybe even more than we thought) and I have a few.

And then there's you.

You have the money.

You certainly have the knowledge.

You know Wes, you know Zippers and you know where Tman is.

Stirring the pot is fine if you have something in it.

It's all about credibility. Get you some beans and have some fun with us.

Even your buddy Phil knows what it takes to have fun and got him some beans.

This is where that phrase "If your gonna talk the talk you better be prepared to walk the walk" comes in.

We would welcome your company! Just come prepared!

Hope to see you soon!

Chip,

How many beans do I need to know if, I qualify for this line in the sand.  I would hate to be lower than the bar that has been set making me unworthy to participate in the pot stirring and fellowship.

Chip,

All that needs to be said is that I am sure I have enough to enjoy playing with this crowd, but you already expected that answer.  ;)   Although Hubbard's refresh and denial of said refresh is a bit interesting.

Yeah, 'er 'uh, Unbalanced,
Don't let the "DAWG", and "Silver-Black's", vivid imagination influence your asessment of this situation.  Both of those clowns are full of chit, and only wish they knew how in the hell a Bigassed Bagger performs like "Ol' Maudie" does.  Upon my Honor, Maudie's Engine has not been into, or "Freshened Up", as they say, since we found the broken valve keeper, and those junked-assed HD cam shoes trashed out, which I replaced with Zipper's 647 Gear Drives.  The Ol' Girl remains undefeated.  She doesn't need "Freshened Up."  You witnessed her performance this Spring.  As Bob Seger says, she's "Still the Same."  ;) There endeth the lesson.  Later--HUBBARD

Hubbard,

I am glad you cleared that up refresh stuff for us, I was just concerned you were taking lessons from Otis denying everything while maintaining it is stock.  Being busy at work seems to have been both a curse on your time and a possible blessing as well.

I am wondering if you will be making the gathering in Maggie Valley in October or Biketoberfest here in Florida?   I know we would all welcome your company at the events if you can get away.

Now this is the kind of drama that I can get into; you “bean counters” have my undivided attention. What the heck would it take to get a center stage slot to watch this drama unfold?

I’m thinking about putting a few beans on Maudie; she sounds like a real sweet girl; maybe a little greasy, but still sweet….ok, she might have a little junk in her trunk, but I’d still like to watch her run.

Unbalanced & Rhino can testify that I saw 'ole Maude run while watching her go by me. Ronnie, Hubbard, & I were out "watching the countryside" & that bike took out both me & Rhino. There's a lot of trash talk goin' on, should be fun to watch (from the grandstand  ;D).

AJ,

Stay on topic here, Maudie is in retirement and declining all requests to air it out (if you believe everything you read on the internet).   You need to figure out who the players are for HS then MV and then you will be able to stir the pot.

As far as I know you have Howie with 07aTQ and Chip with the Frontier, not sure who else is going to the event in HS.

Maybe you will see Grover?, Pete4854?, Otis?, Dawg?, Rhino?, Hogasm?, Texas103 (Vrod) this would make hotsprings a lot more interesting.

er uh Hubbard,

Inquiring minds want to know will Hubbard be making any appearances at Hot Springs or Maggie Valley or will Maudie remain hold up in reclusion safe from would be challengers?  It is a new year and ya know we can't have you standing your laurels forever.   Poor Chip is having to bring the Frontier out just to try and slap hoist around in Hot Springs I wonder if that means he is now trailering down and denying Nancy a beautiful ride across america  /hrmm.

I checked for ya to be thorough and Pro Cup doesn't have any races currently on the schedule for Hot Springs or Maggie Valley time frames, so what do you say Hub gonna make it out?

I see you have a race on Oct 20th in Cecil Ga. so does that mean you won't be making Biketoberfest this year?

http://www.usarprocup.com/schedule/races.asp?yr=2007

Ya know all these grumblings about you (Hubbard) having work done to maudie made me think maybe the wrong questions were asked and this gave ole hubbard some wiggle room.   Dawg any chance of getting a picture of this motor to add validity to the statements, Snopes.com is unaware of this situation and unable to lend credence to these purported accusations.  www.snopes.com

er uh Hubbard, it has been said that you have a motor at Zippers with your name on it having work done on it.   Is this delectable piece of information true?

I need a mixing bowl / spatula icon for these type of situations.

Not that our bikes would ever be called riding like a cat in a wind tunnel,  But we do understand the therapy of riding.

Missed you round here Carl, but understand how life and work keeps us away from time to time.  Maybe we can also plan for that spring break in '08.  We can park in the bleachers to watch whatever show is goin by us.

Wow, what a small world. I was just in Ashland Ky last week (7/26 and had dinner at CJ Maggie's Grill), and then travelled up 23 to Ohio (7/27). We went right by your new place (see GPS track below). Wish I would've known.

Sorry I missed you there, d00d.  You can really stretch one out on 23.  Maybe next time.  Later--HUBBARD

er uh Hubbard,

Inquiring minds want to know will Hubbard be making any appearances at Hot Springs or Maggie Valley or will Maudie remain hold up in reclusion safe from would be challengers?  It is a new year and ya know we can't have you standing your laurels forever.   jPoor Chip is having to bring the Frontier out just to try and slap hoist around in Hot Springs I wonder if that means he is now trailering down and denying Nancy a beautiful ride across america  /hrmm.

Trailerin'?  Hmmmmm....that's unlike Ol' Chip.  I smell something there, and it smells like a 21 tooth Engine Sprocket.  That's why they are all talking about lining them up for the short blast.  Not me.  I like to roll from 80 on.  That's where Ol' Maudie really shines.  The 500 lb. weight difference in my Bike and Chip's really gives me the momentum on top end.  Makes Ol' Maudie hard to catch.  I ain't tearing my chit up, jerkin' and jackin' on a short blast.  Put 'em out there on the Big Road and let 'em eat.  I'll try anybody on a Bagger there, and have, and still ain't been dusted.  Those that have tried, know I'll twist one 'till it changes tunes.  No wobbles, no worries on Ol' Maudie either.  The Ol' Girl's got the Torque, and I've got the Balls.  You know where I live, Chipper.  Put your 25 tooth sprocket back on, and come on up here.  It ain't that far.  I'm bettin' that Fronteir can't hang with Ol' Maudie.  Here kitty, kitty............................  ;) Later--HUBBARD

That little Drag Strip in AR. is just one spot for some fun. I hear there are some great stretches of open road on 7 to air them out! Too bad Ol' Maudie can't meet the Frontier there for both. I sure wouldn't mind getting in on a ride like that! :2vrolijk_21: If Hub can't make it, I'll be happy to stretch it out with you Chip! Hey Ronnie, you reading this? We got the perfect spot to make our point! And my pot-o-beans is smelling might fine right now! ::) ;)

It's my turn to say your full of chit. You been hanging with that bud of yours from down south that talks a good story but never delivers.
My proof is in the phone calls. Check the records. Have  invited you down here, the beach, Bristol, Tilleys for the past year probably 15 times total. Do you ever show?
HELL NO!
Have you invited me up there with the Frontier?
HELL NO again.
Yes I know where you live. Are you ever there?
Can I get another HELL NO!
So your words are just like the soup that Beanless boy stirs. Sounds and looks good on the internet but they lack substance and mean nothing.
If you want to prove something, step up to the plate and meet me in Bristol on Sunday.
If you can't make Bristol then call me, posturing for glory here on the internet is unbecoming to the Carl Lee Hubbard I know. You call me and we will set a time to meet. When we are done we will report the facts as they happened!
Take care my friend.

Now, how in the hell can I be in Bristol Sunday, when we're Racing in South Boston Saturday nite?  And No, I ain't ever Home, nor have I had the time to attend your gracious invites.  Why?  'Cause I ain't got 10,000 Mexicans at my beck and call, like some people I know.  I got more to say grace over than I can handle.  I can't just walk off and play any time I want too.  However, I would take the time  to bust your ass, if you would come on up here.  :huepfenjump3: :huepfenjump3: :huepfenjump3: :huepfenlol2: ;)  Later--HUBBARD

But only you know your schedule, figure it out and set a time and we will meet you there.

Don’t mind me folks, I don’t mean to drag my saddle bags through here but I couldn’t help notice that those friendly “jabs” from a couple of days ago have a little more sting to them now. Sorry to interrupt, please carry on; I’ll just be layin’ low in the weeds over yonder. Great drama though, I can almost smell the burnin’ rubber and gasoline.

Djakk,

What ya doing stirring my soup....

It looks like there are easily enough cooks available to keep things well stirred. I really don’t have anything of value to add there, but I simply can’t resist a little good old fashioned oil based drama; like that old Soap “as the sprocket turns”. I characterize my input more like a pinch of “spice” than actually handling the big wooden spoon. :)
