Anyone have the part numbers for the passenger backrest and the indoor cover that came with the 2000 SERGs? Also, can you still get these items through the dealer?

As for the question : NO NADA NO WAY on getting a cover from the dealer. The best chance to get your hands on these is E-Bay. Although I think the backrest can still be had at the dealer.

Bike cover # 91688-00
Backrest # 53055-00 this number is for the pad and detachable backrest.

Just another reason I'm going to pass on this bike. I couldn't get together on price with the dealer today. See the 3rd Party For Sale section for details if you are interested in this bike.

I ordered the backrest from Charlie's H-D today for 20% off (along with a service manual and parts book). I could not get the backrest assembly (the number above), but could order the "upright" and pad separately. Weird.

You were right about the cover, though. Guess I'll have to start an automatic eBay search for it. Wish me luck. $:-\$

Gary, thought of that earlier today and then forgot to ask when I was there tonight making an appt. for the SERG (needs a little front master cylinder help). I'll have to call 'em up tomorrow and ask.

No, the master cylinder work is NOT a mod.

, just needs a little rebuild and fluild flush front and rear.

They can be found on E-Bay from time to time. You have to really search though, they are not always listed like you would think.

I did use a SEEG cover for awhile but it was alittle small.

I have managed to get my hands on 2 of them for a price though.

Yeah, guys, I have a search set up for the part number and "Screamin Eagle cover." But, let me know if you happen to see something, too. I was able to get complete copies of all of the service history on the bike from the dealer 40 miles away where the guy who bought it new lived, so if I can score a cover, the bike will be pretty complete with a documented history and all of the accessories.
