I bet mine did too.  The dealer would have charged me if they had to supply new hardware.  They are installed with locking washers, which should help keep them from backing off.  I'm going to stop by the dealer sometime this week.  I'll ask when I'm out there.

Screamin, those are the hex heads that came with mine also.  Have you installed yours yet?

Not on this bike yet. Did on my '05 and it wasn't hard for a mechanical dumb a$$ like me to do. I'm counting on Santa to bring an elec. orange t. p. this year. After all, she's the one that brings along all the chit   :).

If I remember correctly, there are acorn nuts that come with the mount plate!

Some acorn nuts are self locking, with nylon inserts.  If not, blue loctite will take care of any worries.

Those are the ones, not the chrome acorns shown in the pic above! ;)

Ok, I finished the install.  These pics are for the screws that HD gave me after I went there and told them whats up.  They were gracious enough to give me the screws!!!

Here is the finished product.  I took it a step further and installed the wing with the led.  Except for I didn't connect the led's to the bike.  I snaked the wires through as the manual stated.  However, I'm not electrician and I didn't stay at a Holiday Inn Express either!

From the rear.  For the some reason, I tilt with the bike, so I'll post two, one tilted, and one not.
