Well, one day we all wake up dead! You can walk outside and get run over by a truck too. You set your bike up for this speed, use tires that are made to handle it. Keep your bike in tip top shape for riding these speeds. And make sure you're capable. Then you leave it in the hands of fate my friend! That's how progress is made! By trying things that others won't! But do it smartly of course! Never give up trying things that others think dangerous gang just cause it is! ;)

Hoist! 8)

yeah, but what about the family you take out if you lose control of the MC?

I live dangerously enough, I don't need to measure my manhood with my speedo.

Add to that those of us in public safety that have to clean up the mess and then notify the family.

I agree w/Sean my job is enough of an adrenaline rush for me don't need to measure my manhood by the speedo either.

Not to say I haven't gone above the speed limit a time or two, and not to say I will not again, but I sure don't need (or have the desire) to do it everytime I ride.

Still breaking my '09 SERG in, but I will test it.
Have you done any mods on you SERG?
The fastest I rode my '01 SERG was 95, and she didn't really like it.

Good afternoon 2nd time

Rode from Boston to LA this year on a 2008 Road Glide, had plenty of open road to spread my wings without a soul in sight for as far as the eyes can see. During the 19 day 7,000+ miles covered, I may have reached 80 or 85 MPH a few times and had the best time ever. Not knocking those who like to see triple digits on the speedo but I can remember the states, the roads, the mountains, the scenery, etc. etc. etc.  because it wasn't a blur or I wasn't looking out for LEO, thus I tour with my touring rig, even though a beast lurks under the gas tank.

I hope everyone on this thread makes it to the end of 2009 and many many years thereafter.

Be safe - just sayin.............

Very dissapointing

just cause I have restraint, doesn't mean I'm not still a a$$...and he is Naval brethren (different, somewhat mutated strain of the family tree, but same forest at least)

It's so damn hard to be humble as a Marine

Looking forward to you coming up the Old Dominion for a tour and us doing some riding...we'll hook up with Gary also.  Let's see two Marines and one Sailor, nah, that's still too lopsided.   :huepfenlol2:
