Due to a screw up at the hospital I did not get out until 2 pm Friday, April 3rd. Because I lost consciousness for over an hour the docs wanted to see if I had a concussion or possibly blacked out before the crash. Anyway that all seems to check out fine but added 2 days to my stay.
Sure appreciate all your thoughts and prayers and support. Felt pretty rugged yesterday and did not get any sleep last night - just could not get comfortable and I hate to take that dope but did submit to one pain pill about 11 pm.
From what few pieces I've been able to piece together about the crash (because I do not recall anything after getting on the bike until I was in the ER). It is pretty clear that I low sided to the left while riding straight and slid maybe 40 feet or more after impact. So I'm concluding that I went down real hard to sustain the severity of injuries I have and to have skidded that far. And I don't know how the heck you crash like that while riding straight unless the bike had a problem like driveline lockup which all the pieces of the puzzle I've uncovered so far would point to.
I know there was a thread some time ago about some crashes caused by this and would appreciate it if someone could find them. Anyone ever heard of this type problem on the Buell Blast?
Thanks guys, gotta go rest now.
