Was thinking............
« on: August 12, 2009, 08:57:20 PM »

Wonder what the 2010 SESG wheels would like like on a 2009 O/B SERG?

Wonder what the wheels off a 2009SERG would look like on a 2010 SESG?

Would these bolt right up?

I love the new SESG but not sure about the wheels. seems like 9 out of 10 times when you see black and chrome wheels on a bike the bike is usually black. A black SESG would look awesome with either the gold or silver leaf, maybe next year??

Don't get me wrong, I love the 2010 SESG and would not mind having one!!!!

I didn't even know they were offered so I went and checked out the wheels on hd website.

$749 each for chrome   damn, thats cheap!  I wonder if anyone will change them out

$499 each for black/chrome    Thats a real affordable wheel for a black street or road glide

Not me.  I like the contrast cut wheels and think they look great on my spiced rum SESG...they're definitely a keeper for me.   :2vrolijk_21:

I saw a spiced rum in person the other day. The pictures do not do these bikes justice. It was real nice in person with the sun beating down on it! Good luck with the new bike!

Thanks VRog,
I'm very happy with it.  Just need to get it sounding like what I think a Harley should sound like...the stock cans suck big time, but it has to meet the EPA noise requirements now, so it is what it is.   :nixweiss:

Agree that the price is good on those wheels compared to earlier ones and they look great on the SESG.  The all chrome version would probably look great also.  Someone will do it sooner than later.  JMHO. :) har!  spyder

I'm fairly certain I will be one of the folks swapping out the black/chrome wheels to the all chrome version when my SESG arrives later this fall...will most likely have them swap them out before I even bring it home.  I'm hopeful I can sell the stock black/chrome wheels I remove...but I'm not sure of the potential market of these wheels to other Harley owners.  Will this wheel bolt up to other 2010 touring bikes (non-CVO) given their size (18")???  Will they fit earlier year models (touring or otherwise)???  I totally agree with the comments on these wheels would absolutely bling on a black bike.  So if the fitment works regardless of year or model, finding someone with a black bike looking to upgrade their wheels should be relatively easy...especially if I offer them for a fraction of the Harley cost in the catalog.

I see your in NH........... When we were up at Laconia we actually stopped counting how many black street glides went by. I think those wheels would be a great way to dress up a stock black street glide, that and chrome the fork tubes and you got a nice bike for cheap money.....
