SERG's @ Biketoberfest

Saw a lot of SERG's in Daytona this year. Made some observations, we all have different tastes. On the rear the oval shapped Vance & Hines slip-ons look like crap in the round openings, but the guys that owned the bikes probably like them. "Real" flames airbrushed on at the pinstripe booth on the saddlebags, side covers were not very attractive to me, guy who had it done liked it. Renegade 3-piece wheels with black rims/chrome centers looked very good. Windshield choice was across the board and everyone liked what they had, whatever brand it was and I saw all brands at one time or another. Met several guys, only one who belonged to this site and he was bad boy DW6019, had a very nice SERG, major detailed. Told everyone else about the site, should have some new members this week.

I counted 7 different SERGs at Biketoberfest, not counting the New O9 Orange SERG for sale on Destinations daytona's floor for 35,999.....

Although I have no idea what they really got for it, Destination did sell a new 09 SERG O/B during Biketoberfest. I also thought it strange, Rossmeyer family owns Destination, New Smynra and the Old Daytona HD. Had SEUC on all three floors, and they are overpriced at all three but approx $46K @ Destination and $43K at the other two. Can't imagine anyone buying a CVO from them, but they do. Sales geek at Destination said they sold 25 bikes on friday and did anyone else see the 20 red unserviced Road & Street Glides by the loading dock? A lot of red.

Talking with a guy at Destination Daytona, they sold 579 bikes at the spring bike week.  They were preparing many bikes for biketoberfest.

I too noticed the huge mark up on everything especially the CVO bikes.  New Symrna was less, but still a big mark up.

I just can not understand any one paying 5K or more over MSRP for a CVO.

I was there also and thought it odd that they would have 20 orange FLTXs on the loading dock.  Doc

Had a nice camera in my back pocket the whole time I was there. Took lots of photos, to much trouble to upload to this site, have to resize first then save, then attach, then browse... Not worth the trouble until whoever owns the site makes resize automatic.
