Motorsickle Club Name
« on: December 17, 2005, 08:01:03 PM »

Besides the obvious "Hillbilly Rocket Riders" [congrats OTIS/HUBBARD and the GANG], which is hard to beat, what would be your choice for a Motorsickle Club Handle?

Of course everything is relative, however I am seeking a name only given no previsions.

Thanks for the impute...

Jock, names need a context.  Geographic or the character of the guys or the kinds of bikes or something.  What's the flavor of the group you're thinking about hanging a name on.  The broader is their spectrum, of course, the more generic becomes their name.

Jock, you could combine bike culture and music if you went with a group name of :  HEAVENLY BLUES BROS.  You know....relating to the main character of the EasyRider cult biker movie and the cult music blues bros. movie. Har!   [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]  spyder

My buddy wants to name our little group of riders, "The PUCKOWEES".
It started from a snowmobile trip years ago...we ended up kinda lost..

Was looking for an old thread on another subject and I came across this. Starting a new motoycycle club can be frought with hazzards depending on where you live and how strong the 1% clubs in the area are. 1st off, is the issue of what the geometry of the patch is going to be A three piece patch is traditionally an outlaw patch. Top and bottom rockers and a center patch. Also, the letters MC as part of the patch again are traditionally 1% territory. Next is the issue of colors. Any combination of Red and White, Black and White to name two will get you noticed in a negative way as will a name already in existance. My advice is to do a google search once you've come up with a name (one that doesn't include the words Motorcycle Club) If you don't find anything, advertise in your regional Thunder Press that you are starting a motorcycle riding organization to be called - - - - - - - - - - - - Any objections should reply within x amount of days to a PO Mention what the combination of colors will be. I would mention that going to your local ABATE or Confederation of Clubs meeting and asking outright if anyone objects will not get you a response even if someone does because of issues with the RICO act. So, make your patch a one piece, use the word Riders or something similar in the name, avoid any color combinations similar to the major 1% organizations and you should be fine. The easiest way is to be like the Hamsters and be a T-shirt only organization.

PS. I'm real partial to the name Iron Horsemen, but that's because I've got it tatooed on my arm.

Good advice Spiderman. Red & White and Red & Yellow are real particular about patches in the Southwest (and other areas I'm sure). Definitely, do not do a three piece patch.  ;)

I propose we found the "OCD Riders" - Official Colors to be Chrome & Green (greenbacks) ;D
Instead of the legendary "13" seen on many Club colors, we could have 24 (The Atomic Number of Cr - Chromium)

That's good  ;D

So what then, in Harley math it'd be:
Rider = X
X79=24  [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif]
