School Bus Drivers on Strike
« on: February 06, 2006, 05:21:53 PM »

School Bus Drivers that service the remote parts of Southern West Virginia, have complained to the WV Board of Education, if something wasn't done about the behavior of some of the Parents on these routes, they were going to strike.  When asked by the Board's spokesperson what the problem was, the Bus Drivers replied, "Everytime we stop to pick up the children, some of these people come out and try to "underpin" our Buses!"  [smiley=huepfenjump3.gif] [smiley=huepfenjump3.gif]

I had to think a moment, but I believe I got it.  Alot of mobile homes have under pinning around the bottom.  I guess the parents were coming out and trying to turn the school bus into a mobile home by under pinning it.

Interesting to learn new phrases.
I have always heard of it as trailer skirts or skirting. ;D

Reminds me of the Jeff Foxworthy "You might be a redkneck if..." one about you might be one if your richest relative just moved into a new home and you have to go over and help him take off the wheels etc. [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif]

Somebody help me if I am wrong, but I think the skirts are what the rich guys use to cover up the underpinning...yea we don't see too much in Cal.
I lived in one when I was in the Army stationed in Oklahoma. Not too much fun in tornado season [smiley=nervous.gif]
