Windshield bag?
« on: October 20, 2010, 06:05:16 PM »

Has there ever been some type of a windshield bag to go on a RoadGlide?  I realize it would be small but I would love to have something to put my glasses in.  Had a bag on my Heritage and loved it.

I would like to find one too. Right above the radio tucked under the windshield would be perfect. Maybe we should contact Kuryakn?

Count me in too.  If someone's got one, I'd buy it probably.

Had this made for my Switchblade. Fits a pair of glasses, sunscreen, little screwdriver, earplugs and little else.

Worked with Diane Kaib at Leather Connexion. She can be reached at 800-634-2453 or diane@leatherconnexion.com

It was under $100. She sent me the leather piece before assembly with markings on where to have the SE logo stitched and I had my embroiderer do that. Then sent the leather with the logo done back and they put together the bag. Nice furry lining on the inside too!

Diane will work with you to get you what you want. I highly recommend them!

Buddy of mine did this. Drilled the appropriate holes in his windshield. Works very well but IMHO it looks like chit.

As far away as the fairing/windshield is on the shark nose bikes is a bag there really useable? Yea, you can store stuff there but if you got to be stopped to get it why not just use the glove boxes? :nixweiss:

Glove boxes are virtually unusable in motion. W/S bag would work great for you Dood but not so good for SBB.

Is there some subliminal point in there?

I use the glove boxes to store everything described. I am able to open the glove boxes far enough to get small stuff out while in motion. And my arms are to short to reach above the radio comfortably, the bag would have to lay on the dash which means paint wear and you would have to bolt it to windshied (UCK) or some kind of tape to dash (UGLY).  Not seeing this as a good idea, but to each his own.

I think glove boxes suck for glasses.

I also use my glovebox for glasses in a case ,and at my overall length i wouldn't be able to reach a windshield bag without crawling up the tank.!!!

found another good idea: bags on the left and ride side of the handle bar.
Don't know the owner, but thought it would be okay to post the pic.
