Not Napa Valley Ride

As planned some of the members met up at 9:30 at Vallejo HD. JCZ, Jonga, Erniezap & Barb, AK, Isellbulls, & myself. The turn out was much less than expected but it was a great day. We did not have a drop of ran. Instead on the napa ride we left Vallejo and went by JC's house in Sacramento for a pit stop and then onto Auburn and south on Highway 49, We stopped for lunch Georgetown and then rode down to Jackson for a late afternoon milkshake. We then split up and rode our seperate ways back home from there.

Our exicitement for the day was a truck that tried unsuccessfully to make this sharp turn and ended up in a samll ditch with the tractor up against the guard rail and the trailer bottomed out. The CHP (prick) made us wait and not go around until the tow truck arrived to yank the truck out. (About a 30 Minute rest....notice the trailer cocked over and sitting on the back tires of the tractor)




We took turns trying to get shots of each other riding through some twisties....

Wish I could have made the ride, looks like you had a nice ride on Saturday. Had I known you were headed to Jackson I would have had you guys stop by. I was up at lake Camanche all weekend with my in-laws in tow.
Hope I can make the real Napa Valley ride at the end of the month.

Guys, we had a great time.  I was disappointed at the lack of people, but the 7 of us had a lot of fun.  I put about 380 miles on the bike yesterday, all of it in sunshine even though it was a bit cool.  I can't wait for this weather to break and we can ride in a lot less layers.  Some beautiful scenery, good company, some great little towns, and a rootbeer float (something I haven't had in about 30 years).  Looking forward to the next ride...
