Latest snowstorm....

We have 17" on the ground, another 4" to 6" forecast.  Still having 50 - 70 mph wind gusts - forecast to last into the afternoon.  Temps to drop to -10 once the snow and wind stops.  

Chicago reporting 100 mph wind gusts off the lake.  25' waves off Lake Michigan onto LSD... 

We have snow drifts in excess of 6' in the backyard....

Large portions of I-90, I-80 and I-39 are closed.  The surrounding counties have not attempted to plow since early last night.

Dogs are having the time of their life!

Had to open up the shop today, no power and I'm the only one that could make it. The only thing that got plowed in my subdivision was my driveway, got stuck 5 times. Once on the expressways everything was fine, boy wish traffic was always like this in Chicago!

Well...back to work, hope my phone battery holds up.

 14"-18" snow 1/2"-1" ice on top  :o supposed to rain hopefully will wash some of this cold mess away. :worthless: here are some views of mess.

This is the kind of weather where you stock up on some beer, or whiskey, turn the heat up in the garage, close the door and hibernate. A flat screen TV, recliner and a nice Harley is also mandatory... :2vrolijk_21:

Only 8-10" on the southwest side of KC.

35mph winds = 3-4 ft drifts in the driveway.

Will wait until it warms up to 8 degrees to fire up the tractor with loader and dump the snow over the fence. :D
