Actually, if you just disconnect and plug the line at the master cylinder, and keep it elevated, you won't have all that drama you had when replacing the entire line. I've done it before when changing out the POS fairing brackets, and didn't have any air ever make it down to the actuator. Just bled the small amount of air that collected at the banjo fitting after screwing it all back together.
I'd suggest that after you use the clutch for awhile you go back and bleed again, you'll probably find more air. Start by bleeding at that banjo fitting, which tends to be the high point rather than the actual master cylinder, then at the actuator.
