Not likely.  That's the stock location.  If heat was an issue because of this location - thousands would be having an issue.

I'd agree with Jerry's comments about the possibility of the clutch hanging up (pushrod/pressure plate/etc).


The only reason I say this is because I went from the stock line which is plastic with some kind of sleeve over it to a braided line with no heat shield at all :nixweiss:

I understand...  I don't think heat is your issue.  You'd have to be boiling the fluid...and I strongly doubt you're doing this...

I may have some heat shield laying around the garage left over that I may try....it couldn't hurt.  Looks like this
