Run to the Catskills
« on: May 29, 2006, 10:05:14 PM »

We had a great time in the Catskill Mt's. on Sunday the run was a ball, the cookout was fun. The twisties back were fantastic!!! Meet some great guys and gals.
One awesome encounter that didn't get on film was a Hugh Eagle swept out of the woods and into the cut of the road and flew directly above me within arms reach from my seated position as I was rolling down and up a hill!! It stayed with me for long enough that I was able to view its entire length, from tail feathers. talons, to the tip of one HUGH beak!! It looked right at me and I rolled off enough for it to stay ahead of me. Glenn was just behind me and said it looked as though it landed on me with its wings completely spread out.. I could have grabbed a tail feather but it could have grabbed a helmet, so we just went on my brother EAGLE!!

Mark,
Great pictures, and great ride report thanks for sharing. I've got to get better w/taking pictures. I still haven't gotten used to having a camera I guess. Maybe I need to carry it on my side w/cell phone then I would be more likely to use it. [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

Fire, I wish Glenn had one going behind me when that eagle swooped me! That would have been a once in a lifetime shot!!!
