This One is Hard to Explain

While cleaning the bike I noticed two wires hanging down below the frame.  Looked closer and discovered both went to the brake light switch and the broken blades where were still in the terminals on the wire. Intially thought I must have kicked something up and it hit the swith.  But when I saw the hard plastic blade that's between the terminals intact with no marks I began scratching my head. Orientation of the plastic tab on the switch when installed, 12:00 and 6:00.

If you have the old switch and did not get it changed out it melted inside from the heat of your cat. HD has a recall.

Recall only pertained to 2009 models and up didn't it? Not applicable to older style frames that don't have the underneath crossover.

Why worry with an explanation?  Brake light switch is busted.  Sometimes things break.  Replace it and ride on.

That seems to be the mantra for this bike.

It's done...wonder what's next.  Oh ya...forgot ...still have the radio that isn't outputting to the speakers.  Unfortunately that's not a $19 fix.
