Okay, just a fun thread to tell everyone else what you did on your day off.
Anyone can post up and join it. Makes for a good time killer.

Felt like I cheated on the bike today. Loaded up the truck with gear and went to the campgrounds we belong to for a little fishing. Got sunburned, drank some beer and caught a few fish but nothing worth bringing back home. Left the gear at the camper so next time I can ride the bike down.

We left the son with grandparents, rode thru NE OK, NW AR, SW MO, and back to NE OK. Stayed Sat night just outside of Joplin, ate dinner in Joplin and rode around to see how they are doing after 1 yr (1 yr anniv is Tues May 22nd). They have made lots of progress in 1 yr! Very somber feelings for the 161 lives that were lost in the F5 tornado in Joplin at this time last year. Joplin folks are resilient, they are looking good!

It was a good ride, we enjoyed our time together, and put 452 miles on the scooter.

Changing the oil in the wife's avy. Debugging a weeks worth of bugs off the bike and then going for a ride to bug it all up again.

I went boating on Lake Wylie for the majority of the day, and yesterday. Awesome time with my buds and great time on the lake. Riding tomorrow!

We did 350 miles today and never left the state. Left Canton and went the slab down to Marietta. Over 550 to Athens for lunch then across 50 to 555 north to Zanesville. 555 is Ohio's version of the Dragon so I've heard. First time I had been on it. Quite a ride. Slabbed it back home just in time to beat 20 mins of heavy rain. Just about time to go get some ice cream now. I know a great place about an hour from here

Spent a couple hours at Freedom HD in N. Canton, Ohio while they tightened up the neck bearings that the idiots at Adventure HD in Dover, Oh missed 300 miles ago when they did the 5k service

I know the service wasn't on their checklist but how the hell did a tech doing a test ride miss any wobble at all? It started to get so bad when I first noticed it that I don't believe it wasn't even slightly loose when the did the service.

I have to say Freedom will be the only shop I take my bike to from here on out. They've been good to me with this bike even though I bought it used from a metric dealer.

After that was all said and done, I put the new TP hinges on. Much nicer look.

Spent friggen $2100, put new brakes an roters , and a filter on the van (on the way in the window motor went), brakes and , air filter and in the hot weather last week the air conditioning went, put a rear tire on the bike, changed the front and rear pad and replaced the brake and clutch fluid, did the filter on that too!

Sure am glad Im made of time and money!!!

Ran out a tank on the bike. Went down to the biker memorial in Hopedale, Oh with a buddy that's never been there. Then off to the campgrounds for a monthly meeting.

Went to the eye Dr. Went and bought all new exterior doors for the house and then discovered the electric fans on my truck wasn't working when it got close to overheating. Got that corrected. Was planning on taking off my lowers today and installing the TP brake light with flasher module but it was just too damn hot. Vegged in the A/C the rest of the afternoon. Now taking the Mrs out for a night out.

Rode 2.5 hours to get a few drinks and a burger with a buddy of mine. Then took the long way home. The Zumo says it's only a 45 minute ride if you choose the fastest route.

Spent about six hours yesterday trouble shooting the home AC unite.. First 100 degree day we spent at home. AC unit wouldn't respond to thermostate commands so headed to Home Depo for a new thermostat. Got that installed, no luck. So went outside and took apart the AC unit, cleaned everything up, checked the switches, everything tripping with my battery checker, buttoned that up and no-go still not working. So I sat around pissed at the thought of calling in an AC guy... Then the wife suggested " do you think the whole house fan guys" did somthing when they installed the unit last fall?? Light bulp went off, I grabbed a ladder, got in the attic, sure enough, those jerks unplugged the unit from wall electric panel probably to use their tools. .. I was major PO'd .... Have you Ever been in two story attic on a 101 degree day...very lucky for Whole House Fan company,,they were closed yesterday.. But when I call today, wanna bet they blame us??? There going to respond "Oh no we never leave your appliances unplugged, our people are highly trained professionals and they check every thing twice behind them. This had to be your fault sir, maybe when you were in your attic last you tripped over your AC cord... Yea right, first time up there in 10 years..

Mike I have learned that already. Retired on 12/31/2011 after 30 years with the District of Columbia Fire Department!!!! It was tough at first and I was thinking of going back. They give you up to a year to make that decision. My old retired Captain got wind of it and called me up and raised a little hell with me. It took about 5 months to settle into retired life, but now I can tell you LIFE IS GOOD!!!!!

My stepson was home from Afgahanistan for two weels of R&R. Had to take him back to the airport this morning then took my daughter back to Bowling Green for school as she was home for the weekend.
