Who knows how to adjust the idle (cold and hot) on an 04 SEEG 103?

Scott
Scott,

With the Delphi EFI system, idle speed is controlled by the ECM and the idle air control valve (IAC).  A dealer can adjust the setting in the ECM with their Digital Technician computer system, but there is no mechanical method.  Don't bother trying to change the throttle stop setting, since that won't change the idle speed but it can screw up the rest of your low speed operation.

What is the issue causing your desire to change the idle speed?

NO. Your dealer can make minor adjustments with their computer. If you purchase a SERT or a PC or a Thunder Max ECM you can do it yourself with a laptop.

I have a power commander, but do not know how to adjust the idle.  I want to raise the idle about 100 rpm, both cold and hot.

I am currently cold idling at about 800 - 850 rpm.  Sometimes, especially when humid, it will cough at idle.  Once in a great while, it will cough, then die at idle.  It always starts right back up.  When less humid, or cooler, it idles about 50 - 100 rpm higher, and this condition does not exist.  This is only cold idle.  When the bike is at temperature, it idles about 950 - 1000 rpm.

Jerry,

Thanks for your suggestion to increase the fuel at low RPM with the Power Commander.  I will do
as you have suggested.

Thanks for the help...Scott

Jerry,

I adjusted the fuel to add 6% at zero throttle, and now idle cold at 1000 rpm.  Thank you for your assistance...
