I finally got tired of fearing the worst with the lifters in Orange Crush and decided to have the stock lifters replaced with S&S units. While I was at it I installed a set of Rockouts. This particular 110 engine was one of the quiet ones but there were witness marks on one rocker shaft. The Lockouts seam to have quietened it even further. The stock lifters at 12000 miles looked perfect by the way, no scoring of any type on lifters or cam.... ;D

FP3. I'm using the map for V&H power duals and high output slipons with standard baffles. I've been sworn to secrecy on how that was decided... ::)

No wonder the dang things get hot and are so quiet. This is a before shot of the catalyst material
before gutting.

Added mirrors to my bars. Removed the fairing mirrors, which I hated. Also worked on  a go pro mount.

Good job Haird,
Sure makes the engine breath easier and run cooler, also sounds a lot better.
These cats are just to restrictive.

Grin still in place but update is the thing runs great.  I would have done this sooner but was waiting for the warranty to expire.  I'm still pleased with the Fuel Pac 3 (FP3) choice and glad I went the less expensive route (again) of removing the catalyst out of the stock header.

Hey Haird, wise choice did you notice any difference in the sound now that the cats have been removed. Bet you feel the difference in heat as well.

Not that much louder but that's not really what I was wanting.  Having done this on past bikes (mine and others), I knew what to expect using the stock SE mufflers with the plugs removed.  It does have a bit of a bark to it but cruising and steady highway speeds are still comfortable sound wise.
The heat is reduced significantly as you would expect.  I am really enjoying the FP3, too.  It's so easy to use.  If I had chosen much more motor work, I would have taken the TTS route, however.  I was looking for inexpensive, better running, less heat and a bit more sound....mission accomplished.

Who'd you use?  I'm considering this or new headers.  haven't decided yet.
