Yesterday I install a hard mount plug for my Gerbing Heated Gear.  Put in on the left side mid frame heat deflector.  Nice, neat and out of the way.  Barley noticeable when not in use.  I also installed hand guards to protect my hands from the wind due to having apes and no heated grips.  They look pretty good, and do help.  Then I rode for a little bit yesterday, 45 degrees out when I started out.

First I have seen of knuckle busters on a touring bike, is that going to be year round for you or cold temp only?

They are very nice to have on. I have had mine on my rig for about 4 years now.

Of course in the fastest color matched fashion.  :bananarock:

Switchd Pipes from a MGS to a Fullsach and added a 58 mm t.b. Dyno sheet went from 100/116 to 110.34 /114.05.   I have the SE 585 cam.   Later on down the road I will either add headwork and bring compression up to 10.5:1 or add a SE 117 kit and replace cams with TTS 150...

Thanks!

Greatbikergear.com is where I got mine. They use to come in chrome or black when I first got mine. The inside has a black diamond plate type sticker on them. (At least they use to.)

They give you a forum discount too if your on the HDForum.

BTW, I have never taken them off since I got them! Big Azz bugs, rocks, etc., don't hurt my hands anymore!

Is there no way your switch housing will cover that weld/reducer on handle bars? What brand are these bars?
Thanks

Don,

I'm assuming you are talking bout my bars.

I too thought the same regarding butting the switch housing all the way to the larger portion of the handle bars. No can do!

Btw, they are stock 2013 CVO Road Glide bars painted to match my Rig.

When I bought them from JD customs & fabrication the plan was to only use them in the winter months.  However I am thinking now they may stay on the bike year round.  I have had lots of positive comments on them, and I also think they look pretty good.

Put the cover on it for the winter.  :-\

No way.  Winter can be a very nice time of year to ride.  As long as no salt or snow on the road, I ride.  You just have to have the right gear, and then its more comfortable then a 95 degree day.
